Sorry I haven't been on in a while, hectic [sp] life right now :(
I have a question you guys can help me with ....for a few days my one Bourke has been chasing the other and trying to nip her. I believe she is actually exausted!
first let me give you the whole pic. ... I have three in the same cage, they are all DNA'd, two males and one female ,well the one male is chasing her all the time. I thought it was a mating ritual, but now I'm not so sure,I took him out and left her with the other.Did I do the right thing, or was it part of the rules

Any time a bird is terrorizing another bird, regardless the sex, it's time to separate them. I would not keep two males with one female, either.

Usually, when an interested male is chasing a female Bourke's, he gets the message fairly quickly - a day or two - to leave her alone if she is not interested in him. If you remove the 2nd male, the chaser may change his behavior... or not. I'd do that - observe, and then likely you'll need to remove the female.
