we been watching some of it - pretty awesome to think of the amount of people involved!
9 concerts all round the world wow!
Kristie, do you remember Live Aid? you would have been about 10
It was amazing, on this one there are so many singing out of tune, trouble is these days they don't do "live" it's all mime.
Did you see that Pete Doherty with Elton John, looked like he was off his face, could hardly stand up and sang sooo out of tune:doh: did you see Elton's face , he looked very cross. That Pete bloke is supposed to be going out with a super model (Kate Moss?).
Up to now, REM, Stereophonics, Travis and UB40 were good, Annie Lennox was awesome! Can't wait to see Bon Jovi and Def Leppard are from round here:agree:
Karl, if you're out there, are you near any of it in Philly???

Jean, it was amazing, we had fantastic seats near the the side of the stage, his band are brilliant, all young guy's who can't quite believe they're in his band. He was so enjoying it too, not at all stuck up:)
Whe he played America he got 2 women in the audience up to dance on stage, what I wouldn't give to be up there with him:emot-danc

I meant to say, it seemed the American press didn't really pick up on it til the last minute. Jeff was looking for it, I can't believe they didn't give it press as it was in Philadelphia.. It was organised by Bob Geldof to raise awareness about the G8 summit this week.
Lots of famous people were on it and there were concerts in London, Philly, Berlin, Paris, Moscow, Rome, can't remember the rest! It was a re run of Live Aid which took place on that date 20 years ago.
