In case you haven't seen the "Mites?" thread, I figured I'd share....
I am not the only girl in the house! :emot-danc
No, we didn't get another birdie... but Mav? Yeah, she is a Maive!

Is a budgie classified ad that reads: Single White (and blue) female budgie looking for Single Male budgie.
Now I have my boys, and for the very first time in my personal parakeet experience, my little girl!!
And yeah, we've removed any fluffy, soft or shreddable toys from the cage... at least for now!

I like Maive, too, but Ryan glares at me when I call her that! :funny: Or when I call her "her" for that matter...
I was pretty sure she was a girl when she started "nesting" last year by kicking her food out of her dish and laying in it... I was surprised we didn't have eggs!

Mavis?
Now that Maverick is Maive/Mavis/Maverica...we need pictures. It's against the rules to change gender without documentation.

Ryan was saying how odd it was that during his search on "budgie cere color", nothing was mentioned on female budgies in breeding condition. :shrug2:
I found it... but I guess my google is better than his!
Geoff, I guess I can give a few pics...

Most of her good pics are either in this thread (http://thebirdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9088&highlight=bloody) or this (scary) thread (http://thebirdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8262&highlight=bloody), and a few in this one (http://thebirdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8347&highlight=bloody)... but some of her "good" pics are the ones I took after she was injured... :scratchch
