I tried searching, but i may have missed the thread if it has been posted somewhere. But where do you get your closed leg bands?
I would like to start banding any babies i may hand feed from now on.
I use split Perler beads for my zebra finches so i can keep track of who is who and who their parents are, but would like to use something permanent and individually numbered for some of them and for the bigger birds i have- like the cockatiels and if my Conures ever decide to go for it.

I also would like to find out what i could use to mark my button quail... some of the boys are hard to tell apart for me, but the females are all different, and if i hatch anymore of them i'd really like to tell them from the older ones as well.

Thanks for any info :)

This is where I get all our legbands... closed is what I use. Many use the colored plain plastic bands to id male/female and such.. they sell those here too:

shirley beat me to it, L&M is a great place to get leg bands depending on the size you need the gal I work for just called and right now they are behind a little on certain sizes by a few weeks..

I also believe Morton Jones also carries leg bands if you go to their site you can request a free catalog
