Hi there. I decided to join from seeing the Sister Forum link at "The Reef Tank" board.
I have my share of birds that i adore and am always interested in reading more about others who have birds.
Right now i have a pair of Green Cheeked Conures, 5 Cockatiels, 3 male Canaries, a velcro-like lovebird, a dozen button quail and a collection of mixed finches.
I hand raise cockatiels when the mated pair are inclined to produce, and i am working on my own strain of BB zebra finches.

I have a husband and a daughter and we live up in Maine

i think thats it so far... :)

Good morning & WELCOME to Bob, Kim, Karl, Ali Cat & Dee ! If I missed anyone, sorry!
This is great that so many people are joining....the more, the merrier. Very busy last weekend, hubby's B/D part 1 on Sat, part 2 on Sunday, thank God everyone had to go back to work on Monday. Went to visit Carlo (baby Blue Crown) yesterday, he is just TOO CUTE!! I will have Erin post his new pictures sometime today, right now I have to run out for gas (before I run OUT of gas). Trip to visit our newest fid is about 200 miles round trip, and chews up the petrol. Talk to you all soon, & welcome again. Anne

Attempt at uploading a pic of "Scooter"... he's my handfed Lovie... only weaned about a month ago. He's quite attached to me cause i was the first thing he saw . He was so easy to handfeed compared to cockatiels, tiels were much messier, or maybe i was lucky and Scooter is unusually tidy. :D

This is Happy... who is actually a fairly cranky bird. :help:
BUT, we love her anyway. She was the first tiel i handraised, Hatch date is Nov 19 of 2004

She is rather chubby compared to her two siblings who are from separate clutches.... i affectionately call her The Hinden-bird

This is Brody.... named for the guy in the Indiana Jones movies- the archaeologist (i think) who always got lost in his own museums. I often get the feeling that Brody, as sweet as he is (he's a cuddlebug) isn't all there... he hasn't quite got the knack for self-preening yet, so he always looks a little rumpled...:scratchch

This is Biskit-Bird

The youngest of the Tiels, what a MESSY eater he was, not to mention a pain in the butt. He'd squall for food with a full crop and he also would be empty and play like he was scared of the feeding syringe. I'd offer the food and he'd scatter to the other side of his brooder suddenly after i had just gotten him to open for it :rolleyes: He just likes to play games that only he knows the rules to, and the game can begin at any time :doh:

Nomar is DNA sexed as a girl and Cyrus, we havn't gotten around to checking on, but we refer to him as a 'he'.

Nomar i have had for getting on 4 years now and Cyrus is a newer addition from January and technically, is my hubby's bird.:agree:
