Good morning! :wavey: It's almost good night here on the west coast. We had a nice day Wednsday. Today is supposed to be sunny and reach 85. :sunshines
I hope Bill made it safely to Kansas today. He must of been to late and tired to get online tonight.
Are any of you making plans for the 4th of July weekend? We have been invited to a BBQ picnic at the park at the lake. Then we plan on putting Elvie to sleep before watching the fireworks.
Kristy, sorry to hear you are in for some yucky weather. Hopefully, it
will get better for the weekend. I am glad to see you are doing all your homework. There is always a lot to learn.
Sue, I hope you have good weather Saturday for Dave and his band.
Shirley, was so busy working today. She even had a last minute call to film a little league game tonight. Poor gal, get a good nights sleep. :cloud9:
Be back later after a good nights sleep. :wavey:
Wishing you all a happy day! :)

Hi Everyone, running very late today, absolutely snowed under!
Kristie 4th July is Independence Day and they have big celebrations over there, not sure if they have a special menu like Thanksgiving but I believe they all have parties and fireworks, (shall we join them:emot-danc ).
Gorgeous weather here today although not forecast.
We had a great night last night we went to a friends house and they have a hot tub, it was lovely:dance:
I've never been in one before. We met up with old friends who have moved to Ireland and were back for a holiday.
Looking forward to the weekend and hoping the weather holds for the gala gig, I'll take pics. We got a couple on Dave's phone from last night but I didn't take the camera:rolleyes:

Cool I like the sound of a Hot Tub!!
Its horrible, drizzly rain and misty grey skies. like winter.
you wouldn't believe it was 30 degrees hot sun a week ago!!
I know, it was cold and misty here yesterday and back nice again today:rolleyes:
We took my Dads car to Doncaster airport for him to pick up last night a she landed after midnight, well they circled for over an hour as it was too foggy to land, then ended up landing at East Midlands:doh: They then had to wait over an hour for coaches to bring them nearly 2 hours back to Doncaster, stupid thing is they passed the motorway turn off to my Dad's on the way but he had to get the car, he eventually got home at 6.30am:eek: You might expect that in Feb but not nearly July, crazy weather:rolleyes:

That's Global Warming for you. :agree:
:idea:TIPs:
Remember - only boil enough water to fill your cup not the whole kettle
Take showers not baths (They're not so heavy to carry :roflmao2:
Eat plenty of Baked Beans which give you the 'wind power' to cycle to work without much peddling saving fossil fuels and your money :funny:
Use flourescent lights and leave them on. Apparantly to keep switching them on and off uses more power

Good Morning!
4th of July -- 1776 Independence and signing of the Declaration of Independance.
Everyone has cook-outs (Barbeques) and eats hotdogs, hamburgers, bratwurst, barbeque chicken, ribs, whatever they like to grill, potato salad, chips, dip, etc.
FIREWORKS EVERYWHERE, LEGAL AND ILLEGAL. Many trips to the emergency room, unfortunately, because stupid people do stupid things with fireworks each year...
We are going to my brother's, an hour north, big swimming pool party, cook-out, fireworks in his cornfield (illegal and legal, but he and Steve are really safety conscious, and the field is in the country) The city's display of fireworks are legal of course, and spectacular. Illegal fireworks are sold publicly everywhere... somehow you just sign something that says you are going to set them off out of state, or something like that. Each state has different laws for what is "legal".
I've had tons of work lately, finished editing one of 4 big weddings, got it delivered, the bride loved it, I was thrilled, and so yesterday morning decided to sneak away with Trevor for some target shooting with his shotgun... he is a good instructor! "Mom, lean forward, lay your cheek hard against the gunstock, keep both eyes open, look beyond the barrel of the gun, and fire early" (we were shooting skeet) I did, and Ka-Blam!!! I blew the clay pigeon to smithereens!! Finally! And then AGAIN!! I was amazed!!! I used to be a lot better at this when I was his age... somehow, I lost my knack between then and now.
Here's Trevor... and you can see the spent shell as it's leaving the gun... I'm running the electronic "Pull!" switch as I take the pics. I only took 7. He yells "Pull" and I push the button. There are three buttons... High tower, Low tower, and both. They shoot clay pigeons high from the left, Low from the right, or both at once. His shotgun is a semi-automatic and shoots several rounds one after the other if he loads it that way. The gun club allows two at a time. He's a darn good shot! I'm a lot better with a pistol than I am a shotgut or his rifle.

We were at the Indiana Gun Club, about 20 minutes from home... Oh, and Trevor does not hunt animals... he's US Army ROTC and an IU student... he would kill for the army or in justified defense of the life a person, but never an animal.
Then we came home, and I got to work, and the phone rang at 4:00... I was asked to film a Championship Little League Baseball game of 4th graders *last night* 7:30 - 10:30!! (so much for getting my deadline work done!) BUT the $ was excellent... so I grabbed Steve as he came home at 4:30 from work and told him... you're going to run remote sound for me at a ball game tonight -- it was only 7 minutes from home at a local elementary school. It was an easy shoot, but standing up and following with the camera for 3 hrs solid! not one single moment of break... It will go to DVD after basic editing and then to 20 parents between both teams.
So... I won't be around much except for avian questions I might be able to shed some light on... I have way too much to get done by 1st of August... and I leave 8/8-8/12 for a week of video convention in Las Vegas.
The bad news... Skyler started crawling out of his skin two days ago, like ants were under his wings... and started picking at his downy feathers... so he's back in his collar again... but not complaining about it a bit. And daily showers, too. Dr. Cook was already planning to visit tomorrow... so we'll see what she says. He's ultra powdery... it's extra hot and humid here now, but our house is THE SAME as we run A/C and there's no extra humidity in the house. His behavior is the same... nothing hormonal seeming to be happening. But... we nipped it in the bud this time.
(Skyler is our rose-breasted 'too, aka RB2)
Have a good day, all!

Happy Thursday, everyone. :wavey: I hope it's a good one for ya'll.
We just finished our first 30 days into our rainy (hurricane) season and we're having storms every afternoon. We've already had our first hurricane and everyone managed okay.
Kristie I hope you find ways to cool off. Good luck with your breeding reading.;)
Hi Jean, Get some rest and we'll see you later.:)
Majj, take your time and do that financial paperwork right. Error free, that's the ticket.
Hi Sue, I'll be thinking happy thoughts for Saturday and Dave's gig.
Shirley, congrats on picking up the Little League gig. Sorry to hear about Skyler. Looks like Trevor really enjoys skeet shooting. :agree:
Well, off to make a bank run and a quick stop at the grocery store. Jack's nearly out of baby carrots. I want to get my errands done this morning so I'm not out in the afternoon rains.
Have a great day!:highfive:

Morning all!
forgot to post here b4 when i checked in earlier, so here i am,,;)
Shirley, thanks for the pics, and it sounds like you are stil on the bz side of things there, hope Skyler feels/gets better soon!
one more midnite shift to go, and for the first time in over a month, my back felt great (no pain) not sure if it's the PT i have been getting, or just working itself out of what ever bothered my back lately, but i'll take it none the less,,:agree:
Off to take some excess livestock(corals etc.) i have in my reef tank to the LFS(local fish shop) for some store credit, and get some supplies with it. that's the nice part about having a tank that grows stuff so well, i get to thin it out a bit, and lucky for me , i have a nice shop that gives me decent store credit for it, let alone allow me to bring stuff in, some places do not like to do this,
then it's of to the workshop , to finish the trim , and start to stain the maple six panel bi-fold closet doors, hope i have a good outcome with these as i did with the trim woodwork,,;)
Well, of to get my arms wet, and gather the goodies for the shop, and go and spent that store credit LOL
Hope everyone has a great day!:wavey:

Partay!!!! That's what happens, roflol http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/superbirdie/icon_pidu.gif
LOL yup, I'm admitting we are going to have a blast, by having just adults on Saturday. Hubby & I are going to FIL house on the lake, and invited 2 other couples to hang out and have some fun. We will prob eat wings for lunch and then go out on the boat for some tubing, skiing, or whatever, then come home to eat dinner and when the fun really starts, hehehe. After having a few drinks after dinner, we will go on the boat again to see the fireworks display on the lake. Always fun fun!! The next day (sunday) we'll be taking the kids to grandpa's for the same, but w/out the adult fun, hehehehe
Kristie and SUe, you're more than welcome to come partay w/us here in the States, roflol Can't wait to see your new necklace Kristie!!
Everyone else, have a great day!!
Hi Everyone! Hope you are having a good Thursday! I am in Western Kansas as I made it here last night around 8PM. Long drive and now it is good to see all my family and friends! I am looking forward to seeing my fellow students. I have seen a couple already. My how people change in 23 years!
It is hotter here than in Idaho. The day I left for Wyoming it did not get out of the 60's but here it was nearly 100!!! Today it is hot but not the 100 degrees! Whew!
I am on a good friend's computer. I think she has some adware or visuses as her computer is going much slower than it should. I am running all the diagnostics. Makes me miss mine.
I don't have cell phone service here although my service provider's maps said I did. Weird!
I am tired and think I will go take a nap! Something I don't do enough of! LOL! Hope you have a great weekend!

It is the celebration of our Independence Day. That is the day we became the United States Of America, departing from Brittish rule. In other words, it's the birth of our country. Here is a good site explaining it in detail.

I would love to see a pic of you wearing your eautiful new necklace.
Bill, It is great to hear from you. Glad you made it in before to late last night. Have fun and don't forget those pics!
Thank you Shirley, for the good action shots of Trevor. He is like hunny and I, we also do target practice and will not kill or hunt animal. It's not in our heart!
