Well that was mouthful! can't believe it's nearly July already...scary.
we had one heavy downpour at 1700 yesterday, just as I left work:rolleyes:
and a few rumbles (or is that just the baked beans:rotflmao:)
Anyway, no major storms really. There was a huge firework display but it was late and I was in bed but so loud I couldn't sleep. I had been at college so I went straight home from there - doubt I would have got a space along the seafront it would have been packed anyway. I couldn't see them from home because of all the houses and trees but I heard they were really good. Luckily it stopped raining by then.
Last week is the last lesson before the summer hols then in september we will have a new tutor... I wonder who...
I think we are all going to the local pub in next weeks lesson anyway.

I'm in need of aviary advice!! but I will explain more later in squawk & talk

have a good day:)

Good Morning! :wavey: it's actually good night for me. It is still 58 degrees, very warm for our area for a little after midnight. I finished with my shower about 10minutes ago, they always make you feel so relaxedand refreshed, As soon as my hair finishes drying I will be off to catch some
sleep. :cloud9:

Kristy, your city sounds like it was booming yesterday. To bad you missed watching the fireworks. They are so beautiful to watch. Hopefully, you can get the advice you are seeking for your aviary. Maybe, we can share a little looking up things at this end for you. Have a nice day.

Wishing everyone a nice day. :wavey: I'll be back after a good sleep.

Hi Everyone, well it looks like that was summer, we had big storms last night and it's back to cool and dull now:( . I hope it is better on Saturday as Dave has an outdoor gig, it's a big village gala with 5 bands on, it starts in the afternoon and the bands finish early evening so as not to disturb the neighbourhood. They will be under cover though.
Good planning on the part of the organisers... same day as Live 8:doh:

Kristie the fireworks were on last nights news and they looked SPECTACULAR:dance:

Jean hope your hair's dry, you're up late again:agree:
Have a good day everyone:wavey:

Goodmorning to all who are just starting their Wednesday...
Its over here and its been a cold day here and I am glad I was away from the house for 3 hours during the day as it was very noisy ....
Did my groceries and got home put everything away and let the boys out at 2pm ..BUT the poor things just stayed out for an hour with me as they were scared by all the noise , so I put them back to bed for fear of them flying into something any time there was a burst of drill or saw...The men nocked off at 4pm so they came out then and as Anita isn`t here I didn`t put them back till 7.30pm tonight they had dinner with us and they played with David and Joe while I cooked they were no trouble at all..
At least the major part of the demolition is done maybe another hour in the morning 7am ...but I don`t get the boys out till about 8.30am so by then there will be less commotion...
Its cold up here so I am going to bed with a book ..
Chat later ..Goodnight from Oz have a nice day all...

I am up bright and early and read to drive to Kansas. I am drinking a cup of coffee to get me started on this fine day. I do drink coffee (black) but not very often. I might go out to coffee when asked to do so. HEHE!

I slept well last night and I am eager to get a quick start to getting down the road.

The people who I gave the presentation for were so impressed that they asked me for a list of topics I can provide presentations on. I am so pleased with the results.

Does anyone else walk softly in the mornings when you are in motels? I do as it is one of my pet peeves to hear someone marching in the mornings. HEHE!

The weather in Kansas is supposed to be hot with temps near 100 degrees F (37.7 C) with only a couple of days in the upper 80's and then back in the upper 90's! Since I moved away from Kansas over the years it has become more humid than when I lived there as a boy. Remember me...I am the one who melts easily! LOL! Just not looking forward to the temps but I am looking forward to the family and friends I get to see (some I have not seen for over 20 years).

Hope you all have a great day!

Happy Wednesday all,:wavey: half way to the weekend.

Kristie, I love fireworks displays but I don't like the crowds. I'd rather find a place far away and watch them. We had a neighbor who couldn't wait for the 4th of July (Our Independence Day) and set a batch off early. I had Jack out walking and I swear every time he heard the boom he looked up as if he was watching the display.;)

Hi Jean. I love taking a shower right before bed. It makes me feel all clean and comfy.:cloud9:

Sue, I hope Dave's gig goes well on Saturday. That was kind of poor timing on the organizer's part, eh? I hope they have a good turn out.

Good night, Majj. I hope the construction noises lessen tomorrow for your poor boys. :)

Good morning, Bill. Glad to hear you slept well and the weather :rain:isn't so stormy today. How far are you traveling today?

I made strawberry shortcake (with Splenda) for Greg yesterday. He'd been having a craving for it ever since his mother said she made some for his brother.:D

I hope today is a bit more relaxed - hopefully I won't have any errands.

Today is my mom's birthday so am going to give her a call later when it's not so early for her. She lives in Nevada, I think that makes it just past 7:30 am for her.

Sue, Dave's Saturday gig sounds like fun! Wish I were there to enjoy it with you. I hope the weather turns out nice for it.

Bill, have a safe trip. Try not to melt in the hot Kansas temps. :help:

Vicki, I hope your mom has a nice birthday. Do you get to vegas very often to see her? I definately agree, taking a nice soothig shower before I get ready for bed always gives me a good nights sleep.:cloud9: I love to watch the fireworks too!

Jeff, You were lucky to be able to get your therapy a day early. I've shown up for an appointment a day early a time or two myself.

Have a good day!:)
