I know that it has been a while since I posted, and the last that most heard from me was that Dodge (our B&G) had crop burn. He has had his surgery, recovered amazingly, and it barely slowed him down.
My husband and I walked into PetSmart (not usually where we would by a bird) and saw a baby GCC (Green Cheek Conure). We are not sure male or female, but at the same time, the main concern was if Oscar (my Sunday Conure) would like the baby. They have a 14 day no questions asked policy that would allow us to bring home baby and see if it worked. So we brought home baby. Oscar took to Kylee like they were long lost siblings!!!! "She" has already been to the vet through the store, but I will be making an appointment for "her" to meet our vet first thing in the AM. I am including pictures. "She" is only 59 grams (that is half the weight of Oscar) and maybe the weight of one od Dodges feet. It is funny to watch the B&G with her though, he actually backed away from "her"!

Are you keeping Dodge away from him until you're sure he's 100% healthy and out of quarantine? Just ion case?

I am loading a video of Kylee and Oscar together on the couch. They are tearing apart paper towels, and having a blast! I took Kylee to the vet, and she got a clean bill of health! Everyone is getting along together. It is GREAT. I can finally put Oscar to bed before I am tired. He used to scream, but now he nestles right in and goes to bed.

That's really cool! What a cutie!

What's weird, is I just adopted a baby sun conure and named him Rylee. Kylee and Rylee the new conures! :p

Kylee is now living with a friend of mines mother-in-law. She was just to young and rambunctious for Oscar. Her activity level was so high that she was wearing him out. I was afraid that she might put him into an early grave, so we found a new home close by so that we can have play days, but he is a one person, and one birdie type of guy. We have decided that until he passes, I am a one birdie person. My husband has his guy Doigenes, and I have Oscar. One person, with each their own bird, it works well. Oscar is back to being himself, and I have the energy to be able to play with him. I know that Kylee is being well taken care of, and like I said, she is close enough for play dates.
