View Full Version : Good Morning Glorious Sunday!
Hi Everyone,
Woke up to blue skies and sunshine again today:sunshines after a cloudy Saturday.
We had planned a picnic somewhere but when it was cloudy yesterday ditched the idea, not sure yet what we'll do today.
I'm so behind with everything, yesterday we watched a riveting Wimbledon tennis match on tele Andy Murray, GB (not seeded) against David Nalbandian Argentina (seeded 18).
What a great match Murray was 2-0 up but jus didn't have the stamina, he lost 3-2 but what a fabulous player. He's definately one to watch:emot-danc , hes only 18 years old. My boss has got tickets to the mens Wimbledon final next Sunday, pity I can't persuade him to give them to me:rotflmao:

Sun is trying to shine today, between clouds..
I keep getting these really annoying grey boxes come up on the screen, entitled 'windows messenger' with stupid messages - some saying you have a virus click on this website etc. I don't get where they coming from - we have firewall on and everything, we've done full system scan and run adaware and it finds nothing. I don't get it!
Have to go shopping soon  then my friend is coming round. I have to wrap her birthday present quickly before she does!
The wedding reception was ok, it was at his parents house who have a farm, and reasonable sized house with a large garden. trouble was, we didn't know half the people and everyone just sat round in groups (on the grass.......)
there was a bouncy castle for the kids, but more adults than kids on it..
best get moiving, I take aaaages in the shower :p
Goodmorning to you all my Sunday was cold and wet , did another batch of cooking for the boys and dagged around for the rest of the day , nothing exciting but it was nice to be snug inside when the weather was crap..
Glad you had a nice time at the wedding Kristie..Hope you have a nice visit with your friend today ..
Goodnight from me ...
chat to you all later...:wavey:

I stink at tennis ... and most other sports, and I get bored watching them.
But that's okay. Someone has to like 'em.
No garden work today! I'm going to church in a few, then I often have lunch with a friend afterward. Then I'll come home and do harmless stuff until 5:30, when I go to a Bible study.

Hi Kristie,
Turn off your pop-ups... you can do with with the free Google Pop-up blocker or use Mozilla Firefox or any of the other NOT Internet Explorer browsers which automatically come with pop-up blockers... and turn off Windows Messenger if it is running in your taskbar on the bottom of your computer. I disable it completely in msconfig, but if you don't know what msconfig is, then just turn it off manually on your task bar. That shouldn't be what's doing it, though. It sounds like pop-up windows... spyware and adware.
hth,
Shirley

And GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!
Shirley...you lost it and now you are head coconut! LOL!
Good Morning! :wavey: we had fun at the car show yesterday. We ended up having dinner with some of the participants. We had a nice afternoon and evening. A lot of the venders downtown were set up with sidewalk both and bands playing music for the attending crowds. There were over 250 cars that participated in the show and cruise. It was quite a colorful event. Many went on to enjoy a local dance or just listen to music from the 50, 60, 70, all in all, it was an eventful weekend that started up again this morning at the park with a pancake breakfast. There were show cars lined up for as far as you could see. We went down and joined in on the pancake breakfast. Many vendors had set up their booths this morning at the park to get that last dollar to be spent before the many out of town and out of state show cars departed for their trip home. Others will stay one more night and get an early start tomorrow morning. Many of the cars were driven in and some brought in by trailer in both open and enclosed car haulers and trailkers.
Bill, I know you are getting excited and ready for your trip. :highfive: It should be a lot of fun. Always remember, our joy, happy and safe wishes go with you.
Shirley, you sound bushed from yesterday and last night. I hope, you can take a breather for a while today.
Sue, It's nice to hear you enjoyed watching the Wimbledon. I'll bet you wish you were with your boss to watch the finals today.
Kristy, it sounds like the wedding was enjoyable. Glad you were able to
attend.
BN, I am like you do not really enjoy watching, adult tennis, baseball, baskeball, and alike games, I seem to get bored just sitting :foot-tap: unless it is a child's game.
Majj, We are getting such strange weather this summer. Is it normal to be this cold in your part of the country at this time of year? Hopefully, your weather will warm up soon.
Jeff, I understand your miserable summer weather. I remember those six years we spent in Missouri during the summer months. The humidity and heat was terrible when you went outside. I spent more time in the air conditioning then out in the yard or patio where I love to enjoy myself, weather permitting.
Sending happy wishes to all. :wavey: Have a nice Sunday.
Thanks Jean!
I know Bill's Angels will be looking out for me in more ways than one! HEHE!

Good Afternoon all, :wavey:
It's hot and humid down here in Florida. Greg had a tennis lesson yesterday and then played tennis this morning then came home and jumped into the pool. He won, yay! :emot-danc He's playing a summer session and so far is undefeated.
Sue, we haven't been watching Wimbledon on TV, but plan on catching the Tour de France when it starts next week. Our cable company recorded the highlights of each day last year and saved them to disk so that we could watch whenever we wanted.
Kristie, I can't help you with your stupid messages, but Shirley's idea might work. I hope it helps.
Majj on crap days like that I like to snuggle in bed with a cup of hot cocoa. :) Guess I'll have to wait for winter to set in here for us. I have quite a few months to go.
Jeff, when all your hard work is finished you're going to have to do the rest of the house to match the newly renovated bedroom. :agree:
BirdNerd, I think you did plenty of garden work yesterday. How are your muscles today? No complaints?
Hi Shirley. Long weddings are not my cup of tea. I hope you got some great video and pictures. :D
Bill, what an ambitious 'to do' list. I hope you get everything done you need to before you leave for your trip.
Hi Jean. It sounds like you had a car-packed weekend. I hear those car shows are fun to go to, especially if you're into that kind of thing. ;)

Thanks Vicki,,,,,,not! LOL,,,,
Well , the plan(at least i thought it was the plan)b4 all this was to do up the basement, put the 180 fish only tank, and the 75 reef tank down there, but utilize the 200 gallon tank i picked up for a song, and put it downstairs ,and put the 75 tank inhabs in the 200,,,that plan never took off, i was ready, but never was priority in my wife's mind,,,She has said, "i wish i could have "my" living room back,,," i just give her the "look",,,(both tanks are in the living room)only been two years since i had the 200,,,,still getting teased at work about it,,,, one day,,,one day,,,,,:agree:
Thanks Jean!
I know Bill's Angels will be looking out for me in more ways than one! HEHE!
You bet! you can always count on your three angels! ;)
Thanks Jean and Vicki!
I got most of it done and I will pack tonight. That leaves some of the paperwork for tomorrow.
