well we did get some rain and thunder last night, not overhead though, but enough to make me shut the window and suffocate:rotflmao:
I don't know why I need to shut the window - if the house got struck by lightening having the window shut isn't gonna save me!
unlikely our house is not isolated or very high so...
I couldn't see the lightening forks so it was in the distance, i saw where it was coming from but houses and trees in the way, just saw the sky light up.
We're in for more thunder and rain this afternoon and it's supposed to be 10 DEGREES COOLER tomorrow:(:( that's considerably chilly then:mad:

You may have seen on other thread, I've got 2 more fuzzies coming  quite exciting! I saw them advertised for rehoming, sent a message and they been reserved for me. I get to collect them in 2 or 3 weeks:heart:

nothing much planned for the weekend, think its going to be wet, so can't do the varnishing (of ferret hutch) that needs doing. My friend is over from the mainland on Sunday though, and saturday night I'm going to an (outdoor..) wedding reception.

Hi Everyone,

Well we baked in over 90 deg heat yesterday:eek:
We are forecast to get the big storms in a couple of hours, we haven't had one since last Sunday, can't believe we've had a WHOLE week of hot sunny weather, not normal:funny:

I got a surprise phone call from Shirley and we talked for 2 hours:eek: Good job Shirley's got a good phone deal.

Kristie , congrats on the new ferrets:highfive:
Enjoy your time with your friend and have fun at the wedding, I hope the weather holds out:beerchug:
Have a good Friday everyone:wub:

Was it really TWO HOURS?? We did get a lot of ground covered, though... :D

Here's Holly exploring our little backyard pond, which now has TADPOLES!!

http://www.shirleymorgan.com/Holly/Holly-pond104.jpg

She found some small pebbles and picked them up and dropped them one by one into the water, cocked her head and watched them sink!

Hello Everyone....

Shirley that is the most beautiful photo ..
Well its early to bed for me tonight I am pooped...

What a day , up early to let the boys out for breakie and a play stocked their cages full of goodies as we were off to the airport with Anita (daughter) Sydney about 2.5 hours drive in the peak hour ..Yesterday I put fresh Gravillia branches in their cages and then this morning a tossed in a few dolly pegs they love to chew the crap out of them and make toothpicks keeps them happy for hours ..A bowl of chopped up fresh veggies with a few ice-block in the dish to keep them fresh (not really needed in this weather) apple figs and strawberry on their skewer and a few cashew nuts (they would not have lasted long at all, their favorite nut) ...
Got home at 4pm exausted and cold its rainy and miserable here , The boys were happy to see us home and spent the rest of the day till bedtime (7.30pm) out with us ...I plan on a nice sleep in tomorrow so I don`t mind the cold and rain at all..
Here are a few pick we took at the airport ..Joe (hubby) and David (son) and me and Anita...eldest son Rick came for dinner last night but had a exam at uni. so didn`t make the trek to the Airport with us ..
I hope you all have or had a GREAT Friday...chat again sometime over the weekend ..

Hi Majj
Nice pictures!

we find it hard to find nuts which aren't salted. non of them like strawberries at all - can't understand why!
dolly pegs - what a good idea! there can't be a parrot alive that doesn't like to chew.

am posting your letter today btw. Have a great weekend!

Good Morning! Thankfully it is Friday! I am really looking forward to my vacation after this week/month. Sigh! Going to be busy over the weekend just to get caught up. I would rather be reading a book!

Today is supposed to be the warmest for a while. It is currently 53 degrees F (11 C) and it is forecast to reach the upper 80's. I slept so well last night!

What nice pics Shirley and Marion!

Happy Friday, all. :wavey:

Kristie, we had a thunderstorm yesterday afternoon as well. Even had a flood advisory. I was glad Greg made it home from work before it downpoured. Congrats on the new additions to the family. I hope the weather holds nice for the outdoor wedding. ;)

Good morning, Sue. I hope you get a cooler break in the weather. :agree:

Shirley, what a beautiful picture. Looks like a keeper! The tadpoles are rampant down here too, with all the storms we'd been having.

Good night, Majj. That was nice for your whole family to get together to send your daughter a good sendoff on her trip. She really looks excited. :agree:

Bill, I hope you get lots of rest on your vacation. It sounds like you need it.:)

Speaking of nuts, does anyone know where I can find shelled, unsalted, unroasted sunflower seeds? Maybe a health food store?

If I don't hear from the doctor today, I think I can safely assume my tailbone isn't fractured.

Currently, no big plans for the weekend. Maybe we'll drive to Clearwater Beach on Sunday to see where my daughter is getting married. Depends on her shift at work. They've been short-handed and she's been picking up extra shifts.

WE been having mega storms today!
thundered for ages with loads of proper lightening. they were having a sail day and everyone come back wet..
not sure an open 60 (of carbon) is the safest place to be but they seemed to enjoy watching the lightening! sailors, crazy peeps! it's brightened up for a bit, but did that earlier.....I wish people would take more seriously the threat of lightening though, people do get struck and killed.

Thanks, Sue! I have oodles of these, and posted one that wasn't even a favorite! :rotflmao: :emot-danc Holly is such a natural poser! She sees the camera and becomes a regular Christie Brinkley! I do love her expression in this one, but didn't think it would be one people would choose to frame...

Hiya everyone!!

Shirley & Majj what awesome pics!! You know me Shirley, I love any pic that has a grey in it :p You take such beautiful pics w/great backgrounds!! Holly is such a doll!! Majj, what lovely pics of your family sending your daughter off. Ya'll look like a happy bunch!! Your daughter reminds me of an actress, but I cannot remember her name.....

Vicki, still wishing you the best in recovery on your back, and hoping for no news still! Sunflower seeds unsalted? lol I've been searchiing high and low here for the same, but cannot find any that are unsalted  I was thinking health food store too, need to pick up some GSE from there so I'll look for them there.

Jeff, hope ya get everything done soon......we want to see!! :p

Bill, I bet you are enjoying your weather, and looking forward to your trip!! I know you will need the break!! :agree:

Kristie, can't wait to see some pics of your new additions!

We got our a/c fixed yesterday afternoon. Same guy  but took the whole compressor out and cleaned this time. I was watching him like a hawk when he had to use a torch cutter to cut the pipe to get it out, told him to leave the door in the laundry room open to let fumes out, and also when he pvc glued the other pipe. Explaining how fumes are not good around my birds! I was parinoid for a bit and opened lots of windows after he did that, cause I didn't want any fumes sucked up into the a/c and filling the house. It didn't smell that bad, but when it comes to my babies, you can never be to cautious!!

BTW, Tina won their game last night :emot-danc

TGIF!!!!! :highfive:

Good Morning! :wavey: Our weather is absolutely beautiful again today! It is currently 71 degrees supposed to reach 81 today! I have already been to the grocety store to pick up some sale items. I love the buy one get one free. Mayo, eggs, pickels this week.

Shirley, that pic of Holly is beautiful!! I love to see them in the nature. I wish you could of got a shot of her dropping a pebble in the pond. How precious that would be to see her playing with true nature. I can picture her doing that in my mind!

Majj, your pics are all beautiful. Thanks for sharing them with us. Hope your daughter has a lovely vacation.

Barb, Tell Tina I am happy to hear her team played well and won. I'll bet the fids appreciate the ir conditioning as much as you do. There is nothing like a comfortable house on a hot or cold day.

Kristy, maybe you will get a break in the weather after the storms pass.

Sue, How's your weather today? Hopefully more comfortable!

Jeff, I can' take that 90 degree weather at all. Especially, with the humidity.

Bill, your temps sound like it is going to be hotter then ours today. Don't melt away!

Whishing everyone a nice day! :wavey:

O.K I really enjoyed it ......

Robert Dinero & Dakota Famming have a happy family until she sees her mother after she commited suidide. Emily goes into shock. The widowed father (David) takes his daughter (Emily) to a new place to start over. Emily creates an imaginary friend named Charlie. As bad events happen she blames Charlie for them. This is the little girl's only friend & she has a hard time making others. In this movie, she is really creepy looking with dark hair & evil looking eyes. THis movie will have you holding on to your seat as you watch & wonder what Charlie's going to do next. I really loved this movies & it had a lot of surprising twists & turns.

Raining , cold and wet , not much happening here so I am jumping into bed to read my self help book Midlife and Happiness by Rachel Green....http://sc.groups.msn.com/themes/R9c/pby/img/emoticons/emsmilep.gif

Good night all have a great Saturday those on the other side of the globe ... <!--emo&-->http://www.philsfeatheredfriends.com/board/style_emoticons/default/yawn.gif<!--endemo-->
