Isn't he darling? :D He barely has any feathers, but we can see a large blue crown coming in on his head, although you can't really tell from the picture

Awww hes so cute!!! Bless.
One thing that bothers me though - no offence to you 'yoshi' by the way, that breeders let the chicks go so young
I don't see how people can let them go when they still need to be hand fed - because if you don't know what you're doing you could make a little bird very ill. This little guy has feathers but i've seen pics on forums of peoples 'new arrival' which have closed eyes and no feathers! isn't there some kind of law against selling unweaned chicks? Generally over here you cannot buy unweaned chicks. Or am I talking a load of twoddle??!!

Babies are so adorable. But, Kristie's right. Aren't they still a lot of work? We saw a lot of babies at the bird show on Saturday. Some of them were so new they didn't have any feathers and could barely open their eyes.
Take good care of that little one and show us pictures as he grows up and gets his feathers. He's gonna grow into a beautiful bird.

very cute!!
Please do be sure to read all you can, to make sure you don't have any problems for your new little guy. And never be too shy to ask questions here or w/the place you got him from! This is still a very critical time for your new little birdie.
Good luck and best wishes for your new addition!!

He is adorable!!
I think you said you are visiting him a lot, not having him yet "in your custody", right?
How old is he now?
Thanks so much for the pics!!

Oh, yes, I forgot to mention, the blue crown is not in our home yet. We are still visiting. He is definatly too young to take home. I wouldn't want the responsiblility, as they are so fragile. No, we're not taking him until he is fully weaned.
He is about 4 weeks old and his hatch day was May 23rd.
BTW, I got that shirt in Nassau. It says "We be jammin" on the bottom, but you can't see it. It's my favorite shirt of all time. :agree:

OMG he is absolutely adorable!   I am glad to hear the breeder and you are careful about making sure he is weaned before he comes home. I can see why that shirt is your favorite one.
:thanx: So much for sharing his pic!

Oh GOOD! I absolutely hate it when I read about people who have no experience in handfeeding birds and the breeder sells them an unweaned one. IMO, that is a breeder to RUN from. I have the kind of luck that if I brought home an unweaned bird, I'd do something wrong and aspirate it. Then not only would I be out my bird, i'd be out the money. Glad to hear you're waiting for a weaned bird. Does he/she have a name yet?

We're not sure if it's a boy or a girl, but it's a big fella, so we think it's a boy. :D
So, we're calling him Carlo. :D
