blimey you're early Sue!
what a wonderful weekend. it was sooo hot last night, didn't sleep well and now i"m really tired. no storms and it's overcast but still very muggy.
I think it's supposed to brighten up tho.....
I'm a bit burnt on the shoulders this morn, its a bit sore but doesn't look much. I went round my dad's yesterday morning and he and my stepmum were moaning about the heat, and sat indoors with the curtains pulled!!!!! don't you just hate that??? what weird people. I know not everyone loves the heat/sun but to stay indoors....???

Hi Kristy, :wavey: I guess your dad does not have any cooling system. That would be rough, I believe I'd be looking for a cool tree to cool off under. I have not had to lived with out air conditioning since 1972. I could take the heat a lot better then then now.

WOW !! You are all early starters today ....Its almost 10pm here and I am heading for bed ...After banking doing the chores etc thismorning I arrived home at 1.30pm ready to take the boys out for their afternoon with Mum (ME) and I got a phone call from Dad , Mum has had a drop in her red blood count so I had to get her to hospital she was booked in for some transfusions , out and back agin by 4pm poor babies anyway they came out and spent some time with me before I needed to start cooking dinner..Mum should be out tomorrow and will probably get 2 or 3 lots of blood going through the night ..its been 18months sinse the last time she was in for this , she has had all sorts of tests but they can`t find out where the blood loss is coming from , she has a pacemaker and the heart specialist sped it up a little last time and it seemed to work as its been so long since she has had this problem before that she was needing a transfusion every 3 or 4 months quite worrying I hope this lot keeps her healthy for a long time again ..it puts so much strain on her heart..

So tomorrow I am home doing the ironing and waiting to here from her and will collect her when she is done fingers crossed no more problems for her , its hard when you are getting on and things start falling apart ..Geeeeeeee I started falling apart at 50 don`t know how I will be at her or Pops age 78 amd 86 this year ...
Feeling rather exausted so I am off , don`t worry if I am not here much have a bit to do this week with Anita leaving friday ...
Have a great Monday all....Hope all the dads in the States had a nice fathersday too.....
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:wavey:

Good morning all!

Woke up not feeling too well. I don't have a heavy schedule today so that is nice. The forecast is for temps in the 90's today. The interesting thing about our weather is it can be 93 but the heat index can be 88 due to the lack of humidity.

Tired and feeling yucky but I will survive. HEHE!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, all.. Happy Monday.:wavey:

It's hot and humid here in sunny Florida. The mosquitos turned me into an all you can eat buffet this morning. YIKES! :(

Good morning, Sue. Starting the week off with a cooling storm sounds like a great start to me.:agree:

Kristie, take care of that burn, aloe vera works best.

Jean, what ambitions you have for the beginning of the week! :yougogirl

Good morning, Jeff. Use a sunblock and drink plenty of water if you're going to spend the morning weedwhacking!

Majj, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope the treatments work and she'll be able to come home soon.:grouphug2

Shirley, I hope the dentist visit goes well. And quick. :funny:

Bill, bummer about feeling low. I hope it's just a passing thing and doesn't linger. :foot-tap:

It's laundry day and cleaning day for me. Speaking which the dryer beckons, so I must go.

Have a great day.

I got the carpets cleaned this morning. It seems to take longer each time I do them. I know that is because of my healh. My mind says it's a breeze, my body says different. That is why I usually do it as often as I do. So it goes faster then it would if it got really dirty. I am taking it easy the rest of the day. We just may have a bowl of cereal for dinner tonight. :)

Majj, I hope your mother recovers quickly. Please, give her our loving thoughts and  Hugs!

Bill, I hope you feel better. This is the second morning in a row. What are your symptoms? Sending  Hugs!

Vicki, I hope you are feeling better. Remember what I told you about my tailbone fracture! If your pain ccontinues, you may need to get x rays. Sending  Hugs!

Shirley, I hope all goes well at the dentest. Sending  Hugs!

Jeff, I hope your therapy goes well today. Sending  Hugs!

Goodness Gracious! reviewing my post looks like we're all in sick bay today! I hope we all feel better. :grouphug:

For the first time ever, they kept me waiting... an hour!!! That's an expensive wait on my part... But I do like my dentist...
It's over.. and it took an hour and 15 minutes like predicted... he had to shoot me up 1/2-way through with more numbing stuff. :(

I am feeling better now. Thanks! I think it was something I ate. I am going to see about it by keeping a journal of what I eat.

Jean, my tailbone is still sore. I'm wondering if it might be fractured. But, there's not a whole lot a doctor can do, right? I just have to wait for it to heal. It's not like he can put it in a sling..:roflmao2:

Shirley, I don't like to wait when I'm at the doctor office. I get fidgety.

Bill, I'm glad you're feeling better. Hopefully it was just something you ate and it'll make it through your system with little after effects.

Thanks Vicki! Now it is just the heat of the day that is making me weary. It is 91 degrees here. It is not too bad in the shade but out in the sun it is hot. Plus in the building I work they do not have air conditioning. Thankfully I have a nice fan in my office. I am looking forward to getting home and taking a cool shower.

Bill we reached 76 today it was absolutely beautiful. I laid down and rested a couple hours, woke up and Guess what I've been curled up with for the last hour? Forever Until We Meet ~ by Vicki M. Taylor I am enjoying it very much.

Thanks BN! I figured out what was causing me to feel so bad. I mentioned it in today's good morning thread. (But it was MSG!)

Jean
06-21-2005, 11:20 PM
Bill, there are a lot of people that react negative to MSG. I am glad you figured it out.
It can send you into a severe allergy reaction too. A friend of mine ended up in the hospital because of a severe reaction to MSG.

Bill
06-21-2005, 11:29 PM
Thanks Jean! It is weird I have never had any negative reactions to it before but I would rather be safe than sorry.

Jean

Bill, I never had any allergies until about 8 years ago. Now I have to take zirtec daily.
