Wow, Camille - that's a pretty glowing recommendation! It must be something if you couldn't put it down and read all night!:agree:
I've gone ahead and moved this thread to our "The Book Nook" Forum, so other bookworms like us can take note!

See, I was in the bookstore last week and I looked over the books in that series....and maybe I judged too soon, but I read a few paragraphs and put it back on the shelf. Maybe I'll have to look over the books again next time I am in Barnes and Noble.

OMG I loved that book I read it in one night to I went out and bought it after I read the article about it in the entertainment magazine we get talking about the movie as well as hubby showing me the movie trailer, my sister had told me about a new vampire saga as well that she thought I might enjoy but had forgotten who she said the author until I saw the article in the magazine and it was the same author she was talking about.. I just hope they can do the movie justice when it comes out in december..and I love who is going to play Edward I was hoping to see Robert Pattinson in more movies..He did great as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire have you seen the teaser movie trailer for Twilight...
http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810010670/video/8858452
The 4th book came out Saturday so I need go get that one along with Eclipse and New Moon..
Alot of reviews described the book as totally buffy the vampire slayer style way to teeny boppish but I didn't think so here I am 33 years old and I loved it!!!!!!! I also enjoy the fact the story is set here in washington state..even though the movie they filmed down in Oregon due to weather being more cooperative for them..
I love a good Vampire/Romance story the emotion between Bella and Edward was simply amazing just how it was described in the book you could feel the emotion coming from the two characters and many parts of the book made your heart go Pitter Pat:wub:

Now that i read the book im ECSTATIC about the movie!!

that was the first trailer hubby showed me then a friend of mine found one on yahoo..
the only thing that irritates me is so many people make their own trailers on you tube with about the so called movie with parts from other movies, there is one on you tube that used scenes from the movie the messengers and call it a twilight trailer
I am really hopeing Robert Pattinson can do Edwards character justice..now I am know they are not going to go exactly by the book in one interview I read they changed a few scenes but what movie doesn't do that..I love the history they talk about in the book between the Quniault indian tribe and the vampires..
When it comes to books like this I am hard to please I thought nothing could be better than Anne Rices's Vampire chronicles but this one is just as good I think so far...
I love how she put part of the next book New Moon in at the end of Twilight talk about a tease now I gotta go buy New Moon.

There is a video interview with her on Amazon.com - if you search for her books, I think the newest one has the video.
(Although I much prefer the book I bought instead which is a fictional diary/autobiography of Queen Elizabeth I from 1540ish till 1601)

You know, I had been kind of avoiding it, because I thought it would be hokey....but my girlfriend here in Vegas just read it and liked it a lot too.....maybe I should give it a shot. I personally love Buffy the Vampire Slayer....so maybe I am just hokey too!

actually you would be amazed how non-hokey it is..when I first heard about the book and read critic reviews how they compared it to buffy the vampire slayer etc. I was not sure I wanted to read it but when we got our entertainment magazine and it had an article on the movie I decided to read the first book Twilight definanty no where near buffy the vampire slayerish thats for sure lol stephanie meyer wrote a great story that flows and definantly keeps your interest.

Did you know that there is a part to her fifth book online, Midnight Sun. It was "accidentally " released by someone that she gave a proof to, so she released what she had on her website. She doesn't know when she will go back to writing it, but it is a neat perspective from Edwards point of view. I would highly recommend reading it even though it is only a partial. I loved the movie, even though there were parts that were off from the book, but it was still a great movie. I read all the books, and was still very happy with the movie.

yep I read the little bit thats on her website..I really hope she finishes it and releases it...well with the any movie thats from a book there are going to be differences and not everything can fit into it..I mean if you have read the Harry Potter Books there is alot in the books thats missing in the movies especially goblet of fire.
I really enjoyed the movie..I think the one part I wished had more was the whole meadow scene..but that whole scene is the book is quite long if they had added that in there it would of made the movie alot longer.I think with the budget they had they did very well. Now I know summit bought the rights to New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn and those 3 books there is alot in there so they are going to have a hard time trying to translate those into the movie..especially Breaking Dawn there is alot in that book..
I was pleased with Rob Pattinson as Edward and I think they did wonderful with the actors who played the rest of the cullen family..course with New Moon the Taylor Launter who plays Jacob is going to have some big shoes to fill literally he is going to have to have a major growth spurt or something to fit the description of jacob black in New Moon.
The twilight series is definantly one that I would have no problems reading all the books all over again :)

I just read on our local news site the sequel to Twilight which is New Moon is going to be released for theaters Nov of 2009..and has a new director..with so much going on in book two I just hope they can do well making it into a movie..
Mmmmmm I love reading and a friend of mine has just read theses series and is re reading them loved them , I have to admit I don`t think I could get into them not really into vampire books ..But with everyone raving about them I may go look again...

they are not typical vampire book, you know all of them running around biting people all your typical vampire stuff, they are definantly not a vampire horror book but instead a vampire/Romance about a vampire Edward falling in love:heart: with a human Bella why do you think so many women and teen girls are into to it lol they would not get all worked up over a your normal vampire stuff..lol. A good friend of mine is not into vampire stuff either but she sooo enjoyed the books, lol my sister also is not into all the vampire stuff and now she is Twilight addict cracks me up she has now read all 4 books at least 3 times.
They are definantly addicting and they way they are written it keeps you turning the pages you have to find out what happens next.
I think you should definanlty give them a try, heck my husband read all 4 books and enjoyed them, he even enjoyed the movie when we went and saw it, even though he teased me forever about taking away his Man Card after reading the books and seeing the movie:roflmao2:but he enjoyed both.
Here is a link to the movie trailer so you can check it out

I am pretty excited the movie is coming out on DVD March 21st:woot: I can't wait, they have already started post production on the movie from the 2nd book I am very much looking forward to it the new director has even read the 2nd book so I hope he can do it justice
Thanks I will definately check it out , I have read lots of good reports on the books so eventually I will no doubt have to give them a read.. :)

LOL they are definantly addicting.. even though she claims the series is done she definantly left it open for more, she could definantly continue it thats for sure... I am really hoping she finishes Midnight Sun.
I am now currently reading a Souther Vampire series by Charlaine Harris called "The Sookie StackHouse Series" the books themselves they have been turned into a show for HBO called True Blood which hubby and I are addicted to. Now this series of books and the show are more along the lines of your traditional vampire..

I read all 4, and the last two I read back to back, and finished in less then 24 hrs. I couldn't put them down. I heard that the third book is already in pre-production and should be released in june of next year. So we get New Moon this year, and Eclipse summer of next. How awesome is that!!!
