They were all free flying in this big aviary, let out from their normal aviary so we could feed them nectar stuff.

Kristie, your pics are gorgeous! And... this is so amazing, but you look so MUCH like I pictured you!!! How cool!! :emot-danc
Kristie.... FANTASTIC pics, you look about 9 in the first one:roflmao2:
I absolutely LOVE Looe, I haven't been for years Dave and i went with my Mum & Dad when I was about 17 and we each took a pic of each other on the bridge, Dave looking down at me and me looking up at him, they were great pics, I don't think I could find them now.
Is it near Polperro ? for you US guys , there is a house there that is covered in shells, amazing:emot-danc
I love the black Toos, which bird park is it ? is it Birdland?
The Eden project, I would love to see.
Lovely pics Kristy, You are a pretty youg lady. I feel like Shirley, you look like I had pictured you. The first one does look like you are 12 or 13 year old. Hopefully, you keep your your young looks when you get older.
Thank you, for sharing them.
I visited Lion Country Safari a few months ago. They had a feeding area full of different species of Lories. I was fun to watch them flying all over. Thanks for sharing, esp the black Too species. Parrot Jungle is south of me. They have the largest collection of parrots in world. They have all of the Black Too sub-species.
Joe, that sounds like a parrot lovers paradise. Just the perfect place to spend a day.
When we were visiting Ochos Rios, Jamacia, we went to a huge flight that filled with Macaws, Amazons, Conures, and Ringnecks. We watched the birds for some time.
That sounds like fun! I can imagine, they were a beautiful sight.
One of the coolest places that I have visited was Grand Cayman. They had a turtle farm that releases the babies. They also had numerous rare Amazons that are only found on that Island. It was interesting to see the variuos stages of the turtles process before being released. I am not sure if they raise the Amazons or not. The tour was on a tight schedule, so I did not get to ask that question.
How interesting! I would think it would be interesting to watch them. To ad you didn't get all the information you would of liked. Were the amazons green and ? other colors, similar to the many amazon species we know. Could you see a visual color, size, difference?
Its been a while. I remember them looking similar to a yellow shoulder (mostlt green and yellow). I will look on CD with my pix.
I found it...

You sparked my interest of the rare amazos.I found a this searching. Here is just a small but interesting article.
Cayman Brac Parrot Reserve
Established in 1990, the 180 acre National Trust Brac Parrot Reserve protects the nesting area of the endemic, endangered Cayman Brac parrot, Amazona leucocephala hesterna. The latest census estimates about 400 of these lovely, iridescent emerald green parrots on the Brac. This endangered subspecies of the Cuban Amazon parrot nests here from February through May but can be seen, not only atop the Bluff but also in the lowlands, especially around Stake Bay
I finally postewd the pic in the post above yours...I took a few because I have not posted a pix in some time.
Here are some Macaws eating from our hands in Jamacia:

They are beautiful pics! It's such a pleasure to see them come down and eat out of your hands.
Thank you Joe, for sharing them.
WOW!I just saw the peacock. They are absolutely Beautiful! I've seen many of them in person.
It reminds me of an add in our newspaper about a month ago. Someone had 12 peacocks running their property and advertized " 12 free Pracocks to someone that will catch them" I noticed the add was not in the paper the next day.
