I saw that yesterday, think it was a bit less than that.. but..
well if you think Joe, how many people in the world use the internet, interest in parrots, who may do a search and find this web - I guess there could easily be that many guests!

Actually it was probably one of the search engines scanning the site. But it's only a matter of time until they send us that many registered users. :)

Ahh ok.
But you see what I mean, it's quite possible isn't it! ??

Sure it is, and it will be reality in the near future now that we are being registered in the search engines. :D
They hit in droves the other day when Barb and I were on the board. We were both so excited to see them checking us out.
Interesting, I did a search the other day and this site did not appear in the results (under parrots and cockatoos via Google). I did not know that a search could show as a guest. I learn something everyday.
What the search engines do is "view" sites like ours to add this information to their ability to search for such info. Our site is growing daily and with all of the search going on it won't be long until we grow exponentially. YEAH! Greg can correct if I am wrong but I believe it takes time after each search engine comes here before we are listed in the engine itself.
I think that searches look for the number of hits on a topic. Companies often pay to have their site placed first or on the side of the search page. For instance, "MY2s" is always the first page listed in a "cockatoos" search. This is based on that site getting so man y hits and the way that the owner writes the profile. I could be wrong? This is what a friend told me a while back.
What is really cool is that there are people from all around the world viewing our board!!!! I noticed one guest was from China and another was from South Korea. We seem to have a wide array of membership too!
Cool! Your other board had an international following too.
