It's supposed to be really hot today and tomorrow. it's still cloudy but quite warm so here's hoping!
Got my holiday pics on disc finally, will put some on here soon. need to get them resized first
Trevor goes away tomorrow for the weekend, don't know what I shall be doing haven't decided and depends how I feel. Think it might be a beach weekend....
Good Morning! I am writing my good morning greeting tonight before I go to bed to catch a couple hours sleep. We have to be up early for hubby's appointment at the hospital at 6:AM. His Dr has ordered several heart tests, she has question about some recent test results. First an ultrasound on his aorta then a few more tests. His Dr. also made him an appointment with a new cardiologist next week. He has had a bad heart for years, it is scary and worries me for him to have more problems showing up all of a sudden. Doctors can predict a lot. Thankfully, there is a higher power. 28 years ago He had a severe heart attack that should of killed him instantly. His right coronary artery exploded causing a great loss of blood flow to the entire right side and bottom of his heart. He was under the care of a team 21 Heart surgeons at Loma Linda University. Their was two much damage to operate and he did not have a good enough artery to withstand any open heart surgery. At that time he was given 5 years to live. We have been so thankful there is a much higher power looking out for him. Our many prayers have been answered over the past 28 years. I pray they will continue to be answered.
Kristi, if the weather is nice I hope you feel up to a nice outing. The beach sounds inviting. Don't you go in for your tests the first part of July?
Sue, I see you on the board, I am sure if you have time this morning you will be posting soon. Hope all is doing well getting things together on your new business venture.
Wishing everyone a lovely day! :)

Same weather here Kristie, very warm but cloudy:( Have a nice time at the beach;)
We've had the usual pre weekend hype about there being a heatwave, I suppose we should be grateful it's warm.
I plan to sort out the patio this weekend, Dave's done lots of pots so I want to get it looking nice.
Hope everyone has a great weekend:dance:

Jean - I do hope your hubbys test turn out ok, good luck to him :) I hve my first test next week...the endoscopy.....
I might
Majj - glad you got it ok! Enjoy your read
Sue - know what you mean it's really breezy and really really overcast no hint of sunshine, but it is slightly warmer. Hardly shorts and sandles weather though!!
I doubt I will go the beach, being fair I burn easily.
Trevors work colleague had some kind of skin cancer and he said when up the hospital for treatment there were loads of old aquaintances that used to be sun worshippers, all with skin cancer. Just shows how dangerous sunbathing is. My friend sunbathes every opportunity, I won't be surprised if she ends up with if she not careful.........
Good morning everyone!
It was hot and muggy here yesterday, which is very unusual for the climate. Today it is not supposed to reach past the mid to upper 60's. It is not forecast to warm up until Sunday and then cool slightly by next week. I love the cooler weather!
Jean...I hope all the tests come out okay. Please let us know as soon as you find out anything. Thanks! Hugs to you!
I am going to start my weekend today as I don't have any clients scheduled today. I do have paperwork to do but I am wanting to get some things completed during the week instead of the weekend.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Happy Friday, all. :wavey: I'm getting a late start on my computer today. I took Jack to the vet this morning so he could get a fecal test and a heartworm test. They took blood from his front leg, so now he has a little boo-boo.:( Of course, he's already chewed off the bandage.
Since I went out once this moring, I gathered checks and my grocery list and decided to make a bank run and a grocery store run. Now that everything's put away and all birdy and doggy issues are dealt with I can finally sit down at my computer and see what's what.
Kristie, I saw the pictures you posted. Good shots.
Jean, I'm so sorry about your husband's health/heart issues. Always have faith. It seems to be working for him.:heart:
Enjoy your book, Majj. You'll have to tell us about it in the Book Nook when you've finished.
Sue, you've reminded me that I must do something about my back patio. :scratchchIf it's not too hot this weekend, we may get started. We'll see. I don't see a cooling trend in our forecast.;)
Good morning/afternoon Bill. Enjoy your extra day of the weekend.
Hi Birdnerd!
Tomorrow is the bird show, so we'll have to go after Greg gets done with his tennis lesson. I can't wait to see what they have and look for a new cage for Bailey.

OMG Jean, I just read about Al's problems. We must have posted at the same time this morning as I haven't been here since then and there was only Kristie's post there then:eek: .I hope all goes well with the tests, I am sending positive thoughts your way and TONS of hugs:tighthug: :tighthug: :tighthug:.
Kristie, I hope your tests go well next week too :tighthug: :tighthug: :tighthug:
First of all, I Thank all of you, for your kind thoughts and words. They are deeply appreciated.
We arrived 15 minutes early at the hospital. They could not find any of his appointments being scheduled for today. :help: Finally, 25 minutes later they found he had been put in no show, telling us his appointment was for yesterday. I spoke up, telling them I was the one that took the call from his Dr's office and repeated his appointment time and date after logging it. They confirmed my understanding. The admitting clerk said it was noted someone called our house Wednsday confirming his appointment for Thursday, we never got any call what so ever. :help: Finally, the hospital admitting clerk found another paper that said his tests were scheduled for today. Now, he is definately an hour and a half late for his first scheduled appointent. We were so thankful, this was not an emergency. Since the next closest hospital is over 100 miles away and by this time we had all wasted one and a half hours with this "Stupid" admitting clerk that insisted she had the correct paper work and they could not of made such a mistake. :help: I literally hate being at the mercy of "Stupidity". This caused us to wait another additional hour to begin the tests. Once we get up to the first test they are trying to juggle his tests aroud to fit him in, since the next patients are waiting for their scheduled time slots. A nerse comes to get him for his angiogram, we looked at one another and both say what angiogram? He almost died during the last one from severe convolutions and will not take another one. :help: Which it clearly states in his medical records they have on file. Needles to say, we have wasted almost three hours and were ready to leave when I called the hospital administrator and asked him to please review our morning visit to his hospital, asking him to "please" help his staff get their records and appointments in order. Telling him we were tired of playing their run around games.:help: We left, went to a coffee shop and ordered breakfast since he had followed their instructions and had anything to eat or drink since midnight last night. We are bushed! after wasting our morning with Stupidity.:help: Now, the proper tests will have to be reordered. Hopefully, they will be correct next time.
How frustrating Jean! Keep us posted please!
The weather here is still odd! Yesterday it was hot and humid...yes, humid. Humidity is not a normal thing here at least not like it was yesterday! Today it has been overcast and cool with the temps never higher than 56 degrees! It never reached the 65 degrees which was forecast. We are supposed to be in the mid to upper 80's by early next week before another cool down! Weird!
I went to the local Petsmart and they have a Goffin's cockatoo! I nearly cried thinking of my Kandy! The one they have is a baby! I drooled as it played! I miss Kandy when I see a goffins.

Oh Jean! I can't believe the nightmare you just shared!!! My sister went through not quite so bad, but similar circumstances with her son, with the Arkansas hospital system, KICKING herself for moving there one year earlier... the stupidity just about did her in! I can't believe this happened to you, too!!! Just know that our thoughts and prayers are with you always! all through this!!! :grouphug:
Thanks for the hugs Jean!
I am sorry to hear of your husbans condition sand of ther taxing morning. I hope he gets better.
Bill,
I know the feeling! Please do not buy a bird from that company.
Good Gracious Shirley, This is the mother of your nephew that had the brain surgery. Right! That poor gal! She had enough to worry about let alone not having to deal with the hospital staff's stupidity! By the way, how is he doing?
Shirley, you are always so sweet and have such a kind heart! Thanks! :tighthug:
Bill, you are a just as sweet and every bit as kind! Thanks! :tighthug:
This one is to all the rest for your kindness. Thanks! :tighthug: :grouphug:

wow Jean, I'm so sorry to hear about all that mess!! I'm sure that was a real pain in the butt. It is evident that people make mistakes, but when you are in a serious condition, you would think they would be more careful about things such as that. I hope the Hosp. admin offered some sort of help, although prob a little too late, as the day went on.
:grouphug: Big Big hugs for you & hubby :grouphug:
Shirley, I didn't know of the problems your sister had w/the hosp. Was it near here or in Ft. Smith or something?? That is too scarry considering where I live  I can say the time I had Allison at Washington Regional, was pleasant, but of course it wasn't brain surgery. My MIL has epilepsy, and they wanted to do brain surgery, and she is still hesitating, I don't blame her.
