Showering with your bird

If you let your bird shower with you, what should the water temp be?

hot enough so that you don't have chills, but cool enough so that you don't perceive it as "hot" on your body... and make sure they get the "mist" from the water bouncing off of you and not the direct water from the shower head... Best to avoid water-in-nose, too... since that can get dangerous...

I just get the water warm to my touch and sid loves he also likes to shower in the hose out side but for some reason yesterday when I misted him with the hose he freaked oud and screamed flew off his stand and went running across the yard which is really weird because he loves to shower:shrug2:

Yesterday, I made the water a little warmer than usual and Rex dunked his head in the shower spray TWICE. go figure?????

The hose might have reminded him of a snake?:shrug2: Coco likes lukewarm to sightly warmer than lukewarm water. This may be a personal preference. But, I find she actually lets me know! When I put her in the bottom of the tub, if the water is not exactly to her liking, she will not relax and frolic in it; she will sort of hang back a little (waiting for me to get it right):doh:. As I make very slight adjustments and she tries it out, when it is perfect she will open her wings and start her shower time!

yeh I didnt think of sid thinking the hose could be a snake he is not usually frightened by the hose though oh well he probably didnt want a bath oh well
