Hello there everyone we're new here and wanted to say hello to you all. I'm Carol and my 3 quakers (or shall I say feathered children) are Tiki, Quakey and Kiwi. Over night 6/20/08 we suffered a sudden lost of Kiwi we don't know why she was healthy and everything she just sudden just like that over night 6/20/08 passed on and it's a deep deep devastating loss. some good news to that when a friend of mine who breeds birds (all kinds including quakers) when I told her of the loss (and she knows how I am with my birds I treat them with such love and care they are my world, my life and my everything to me they're my feathered children) well guess what she has some baby quakers and she gave me a brand new baby quaker 4 months old and she's a real sweetie here indeed and we named her KIWI in honor of the one who just passed. My birds (my feathered children) are everything to me and I could never-ever live without them they are just unconditional love and special bond that is shared here you can't put into words they are trully the greatest. well hi everyone and keep in touch and we love getting birdie emails at peekaness@yahoo.com and love exchanging our everyday birdie stories and all so send us stories and emails we love talking to you all o.k.

Welcome to the forum, Carol! We are so glad that you and your fid-family found us! When you have time, we'd love to see pictures and hear all the details on your family! It sounds like you have a house full! And let me also give you my condolences on losing Kiwi.:tighthug: It is never easy. I have a cockatiel who is 27 years old, and while I know he won't live forever, I am sure that when I lose him, I will think that I didn't have enough time with him!
Again, a BIG WELCOME to you and yer gang!!!:beerchug:
