I just recently lost a cockatiel myself. *Points to Avatar.* Napoleon...he was my little baby.

We were having our carpets cleaned and we didn't even think of it. We though our carpet cleaner was just using soap in water...well apparently it wasn't. We moved Napoleon up to my room, just in case. Well, the fumes snaked up through out vents and poisoned Napoleon. By the time I got up there, it was too late. He died in my hands. :(

I miss him so much, but Seamus (Pearl Tiel) is a little charm all his own. He could never replace my little french general (lol) but, he's as close as you could get. He, like Napoleon, can do the "Wolf Whistle" as well as a various number of wild bird immitations. I don't have any pictures yetm but as soon as I get them, I'll post them here.

EDIT: I couldn't wait. :D Here's a picture of my beloved Seamus on his little Parrot Tower.

Thanks a lot.

Seamus and Napoleon are very alike (except for the fact that Seamus has a little additude sometimes.:funny: ), and I'm just glad I haven't had a problem with them.

I know a few choice cockatiels that aren't very nice to people because they weren't socialized enough. ;)

Poor Napolean. :(

Seamus is a cutie! I had a gray 'tiel once: Sijon. He was deadly serious. He would whistle at me. I'd whistle back. If I didn't whistle back the same way he had whistled, he would "correct" me very slowly until I got it right.

Freebie, a lutino male, will stop whistling all together if I answer him.

I am sorry to hear about Nepolean. His avatar pic is beautiful! I lost a nanday 12 years almost 12 years ago, so it is easy to understand your hurt.

Seamus is absolutely adorable! Thanks for sharing his pic

Seamus is the same way. He'll whistle like there's no tomorrow..as soon as you enter the room, he shuts up.

Napoleon would anwser you back anyday. He was a very proud and playful bird.

I have/have had 4 tiels. None of them were alike. Funny, that, huh?

That's true, we had a tiel Yuki before Ollie, she sadly died aged 7:(
She was a lutino and would have nothing to do with me, she adored Dave and would only go to Dave. She would sleep on him, play with him and loved cuddles from him but she wouldn't even step on my hand. The saddest thing is that she let me pick her up when she was really ill, not long after, she died.
Back to them all being different, Ollie is a complete flirt and will go to anyone, he lands on complete strangers:rofl:
