I have college this evening, see if I missed anything interesting whilst away..doubt it though!
it's warm out but really cold in the office being North facing :( I even had my little heater on yesterday....:D
Hope everyone is well :)

Good Morning! :wavey: Today was a nice sunny day and more is expected this week. I am still up so thought I'd post my good morning before I go to bed.

Kristi, having to have your little heater on is not quite what one expects in the early summer. Hopefully, it will warm up soon.

Shirley, I wanted to wish you a safe trip home. I was glad to hear you will make a stop over for one night rather then driving straight through. That is a long trip.

Wishing everyone a nice day! :)

Night Jean, sweet dreams:wub:

Kristie it was FREEZING here yesterday and dark, more like Feb. I had a heater on all day as well as the central heating:eek: It's better today but not brilliant.

Shirley safe trip:heart:

Jeff get the coffee on:highfive:

Hope you all have a great day.:agree:
Dave & I are playing in a summer teams competition at squash tonight. It's fun thing for out of season and there is only one female team so we have to play the men, most of them are great but our team played "the team from hell last week" they have to win at all costs, they just show themselves up everyone commmented about them. I could get drawn against Dave:rofl: that would be fun:funny:

Good Morning and Good Night! I work in Burley today. I have to be there by 9AM so I won't be online until tonight. So you can have fun while I am slaving! HEHE! Actually I don't have a break in my schedule as I have one client right after the next. UGH!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good mornin' everyone :)

Night night Majj, sleep well. Glad u had a good weekend............so sorry to hear winter is setting, we'll have to send you plenty of :sunshines to keep ya warm.

Sue, I'll be happy to blow some warm air your way, as we have had plenty :D

Jean, lol, you're turning to be more of a night owl, more & more, hehhehe Have a good rest and see ya later, sweetie.

Kristie, at least the sun is shining for ya. Enjoy class tonight ;)

Shirley, hope your travels home are safe.

Bill, glad u got a break to play a game of chess. Things getting more normal lately?

Forgot to add Tina had her softball game last night, against a pretty good team. She had bases loaded and got hit in the leg, so they walked her, and scored good on that and had also stolen a base, and ended up stealing home too when they dropped the ball :emot-danc That's my girl!! They ended up calling the game because of lightening and storms, w/only like 2 min left in the game as they were tied. They would've won if they let it finish, but oh well, at least not a loss :p

A/C went out on us, so getting that fixed today!

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to move bricks I go...

... and maybe level the ground a bit
... and (not likely but it's a good theory) start laying out the tarp.

Happy Tuesday, everyone. :wavey:

Kristie, enjoy your college class tonight. We'll see you when you get back.:)

Jean, are you on Australia time? GRIN!!:D

Sue, have fun playing Squash ... Greg is playing summer tennis and really likes the competition.

Goodnight, Majj. Sleep tight!

Bill, I used to play chess a lot when I was younger (say in my early 30's) heehee, but I haven't played in so long, I don't know if I remember which way the horsey moves.

Barb, it's no fun having the AC go out during the summer, :foot-tap:I hope it's easy to fix and not too costly. Congrats to Tina on a game well played.

BN, Take care moving those bricks, don't hurt yourself.

Kristie, Softball is like baseball, pretty much same rules, the ball is a little bigger and of course, a little softer.:agree:

I'm healing slowly, still in pain, but not as much as yesterday, I can sit at my desk and that's a good start.:agree:

Have a great day, enjoy!:highfive:

Kristie, this is also the year of age they start 'fast pitch' softball. A little more skilled. This is Tina's 1st yr at sports and softball. She has done wonderful for being a 1st timer!! Guess she's got her mama's skills in that, hehehe. I loved to play baseball in our neighborhood. I was/am still good at catching. I've seen Tina just playing around to throw me something, and catch it every time, even when I don't seem to be looking, roflol

The girls play through our community center, and hopefully Tina gets good enough at it enough, she can continue playing through college. I've seen some pretty good college games on tv, and would help her possibly get a scholarship at a college if she works on her skills.

Biggest thing, is not being intimiated by the pitcher or catcher. Last night the catcher was pretty agressive and would taunt those who thought they could steal home, lol. Didn't stop my girl, slid in safe, like a champ :D

LOL last week, they cancelled the game (because some kids were at camp) and did a scrimmage (practice game) and I was almost going to volunteer to get in the game and help them practice, I so miss being a kid, hehehe. Maybe mom needs to find a softball team for herself.

We picked up sandwiches at subway then all met at the park and chatted while watching the sea gulls, pelican and a few cranes fishing on the lake. We watched the paddle boat come into the loading dock to pick up a tour group that came in on a bus tour. It was a nice relaxing lunch.

Vicki, I am glad you are feeling a little better today. :tighthug:

Afternoon all!
A lil late today, since i'm working day shift this week(rotating shiftworker-26 yrs, a week of days, a week of afternoons, aweek of midnite shift,,,repeat,,,and every 4th week, i go backwards a day, so i slowly over the year have my days off change,,today is my "monday",,LOL) sorry for the long speach there, just felt you might benefit,by knowing how my work sched can be a bit screwy,,,,and if you do not see me around here at the same time every day etc.

Sue, the coffee will be a lil earlier this week, (4 am here) for my 1 hr drive into work, the next four days,,,FYI ,,,LOL just to let you know i did not forget you,,,
I'm making Starbucks coffee this week, no fancy flavor stuff for me, just good ol fashioned coffee here,,,,(in a BIG travel mug)

Vicki, glad to hear you are feelin at least a lil better, and hope for continued recovery from your pain.
BTW: i just picked up my meds today,,the doc changed one of them (Mscontin) to Oxycontin,,hope the change will help, it seemed like got "used" to the prev med,,and it did not help lately,,
BIG difference in cost also,,,even with my decent insurance coverage,,,
$130 for 90 pills! i buck and a half a pill does not sound all that bad , if you look at it that way,,,,b4 this day, i used to walk outa the pharmacy paying not even $20-30 for my three meds,,,I don't know how people that need medicine ,that don't have insurance, do it,,almost makes me want to cry,,,
(i remember one time i got a 'script filled, cost to me,,,16 cents! had to pick a magazine out,and buy same other stuff, cuz i felt wierd writing a check for 16 cents! LOL)

Oh well enuf medicine talk, got to go let out the dogs . big and little out for a romp, and tend to the birds one last time b4 i gets dark,,,,

Hope everyone had a great day, see you all again soon!:wavey:

I did Jeff, us 6 gals always have a great time out for lunch. We do it at least once a month.

I would imaging your rotating schedule takes a while to get used to. By the time you have adjusted to it, it would be changing again. :shrug2:

PS: I love a good old fashioned cup of Starbucks coffee. I drink it black or with creamer.

Finally home! Whew! Long day and I am beat! Dad went to get me some cutup fruit at the store. That is all I feel hungry for! It was good to play chess last night but now I just want to play close my eyes and sleep! LOL!

BN, Take care moving those bricks, don't hurt yourself.

It wasn't the brick moving that got me. It was the wood movin'. I moved some timbers from the area I need to work in to an area not in use. They were heavy so I flipped 'em end over end. One of them had another chunk o' wood nailed to it and that smacked me in the side of the leg and left a really impressive bruise. OW! *sigh*

But... I lived, and the wood is moved and so are the bricks. Tomorrow will be much laying of the tarp.

Bill, enjoy your fruit bowl and have a good nights sleep. There are times when something like that is just a perfect meal.

BN, oh my, it sounds like you did get whacked in the leg! :tighthug: It sounds like you have accomplished quite a bit of work in the yard.

4am's OK by me Jeff, 9am my time just right:funny: We have starbucks here but not in our town, is that where you get the big muffins or am i confusing it with something else:confused: The best coffee I ever tasted was last year in Dieppe, France, we had breakfast by the harbour and the coffee was all frothy in a masive cup. I've had cappuchino but this stuff was out of this world. Do you have a machine to make it cos I wasn't sure if it was the way they made it or the coffee itself:scratchch

Jean
06-15-2005, 04:15 PM
Sue, cappuchino machines are readily available here for private use as well as commercial use. I love a good frothy cappuchino as long as it is not to sweet.
