Well :) The quails are a little male and female who love being outside our front door.

Why?
Because that's where I dump K&S's old seeds :D I'm making them fat little quails

And Also some photos of a black orchid. It started off jet black in the garden and after 5 days went a dark dark purple.. GORGEOUS FLOWER

Enjoy :thanx:

OH! And my favourite shot of the Orchid I took:

From up top, the interior of it  (Appologies if it is too big, if I make it smaller you miss out on it!)

Kirby ... first, I absolutely love Quail. Intriguing to observe, most definitely.

On your second post ... my humble advice ... Mat AND Frame that photo! You have myriad colors to experiment with for a mat ... possibly even a hue of green (along with any shade of purple ... my fave might be a heavy black) ... and there are so many different frame styles to choose from. But, bottom line ... this is a photo worthy of showcasing.

Thank you ... I'm just now getting into Orchids ... I absolutely love photography of any ilk. You did a terrific job!

That female is SO adorable! All short and stubby with a little head-feather!

Also, Ryan says "Holy Toledo, what a camera she must have!"

:) Thanks Deanna and Elise :D
You really think the interior one is worth framing? I wish it didn't have the green blotch on the right :(

This is my other favourite, I didn't realise until I put it on my computer how much metallic colouring I picked up on

Cool pics!

Good thing i checked out this thread, i just realized:scratchch what i can do w/ "old" seed around here  Got a certain Bourkes:rolleyes: that does not dig too deep in the food dish, so a decent amount get pitched. will prob do the same w/ the parrot's old food too (and hopefully place it hi enuf as not to let other critters get in it,or create a stalking spot for the birds intended for the food.)

We have quail here too, tho i usually don't get a chance to see them up close, only when they take off when i get too close.

Again, great pics! :thanx:
