Baby #5 was weak but alive when I woke up at 5 this morning. I just checked on him at 6, and he was gone. Poor little guy.

Thank you, everybody. I had to work today, and it was so hard. I had to keep myself from thinking about him, so I wouldn't start crying. I knew there would be time to mourn the little guy. He was here only 26 days, but he touched my heart. He was my surprise baby. I didn't even expect that egg to hatch. Robin, that was so beautiful, and really meant a lot to me, thank you. If you don't mind, I want to print it out, maybe on one of your pictures and hang it in the bird room. Sort of a little memorial to the little guy.
