Well it's FREEZING here, I can't believe it's June:eek: We may attempt a barbe later if it improves, the sun keeps trying to get out:sunshines No doubt it'll manage it tomorrow when we're back at work:rolleyes:

I have mountains of washing and ironing (oh joy) to do so must make some inroads today. I am so far behind with work and housework.

I blame this addictive site.:roflmao2: :roflmao2: :roflmao2:

Trying to rain out here this morning, and if it continues,no problem here, got plenty to do inside.Hope to clean dog kennels today(that is always a toughy on my back:mad: )
Looks like shedding season is in full bloom also, so a bath for the two Shepherds might be in order tomorrow(another back killer)In my pole barn i have a "wet area" the prev owners used for their horses, with a drain and water etc. so i have a decent place to bathe my lil "horses"(wish my shepherds were as tall as a horse. less bending over,,OW)
Waiting on coffee to finish brewing here, read the morning news, and get my day a started
(Oops! need to do the morning thing with the birds, b4 the wife gets home from work, need to feed ,play and vaccuum b4 she lays her head down to sleep, she's inbetween two 12 hr shifts now, and will need all the time she can to recharge her batteries)
I smell coffee,

Hope everyone has a great day!:wavey:

Good Afternoon! It is cooler here than usual...the temp is 51 degrees with a wind chill of 45 degrees! It is supposed to warm up on Tuesday through Friday before cooling off a little over next weekend. I don't appreciate the wind but I don't mind the cooler temps. I can always add clothing if it gets cold but I hate the heat!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Good Morning! :wavey: We have a beautiful sunny day with temps expected to reach 68 and 75 tomorrow. We went to my brother & sis in laws for dinner last night. She made the best lasagna I've ever tasted. I will have to get a copy of her recipe.

Sue, you got that right!!!! this place is very adictive. Once you come you hate to leave such good company. :beerchug:

Jeff, you definately sound busy. I can understand when your wife is pulling those 12 hour shifts straight in a row. She needs all the help she can get. When you mention your coffee it always sounds inviting I can almost smell it's aroma. :drool2:

Bill, it is cooler there then here today. we are currently 52 with no wind.
I am with you on that excessive heat especially, when hit accompanys high humidity. I would imagine, you had a tough time with that when you lived in TX.

Wishing everyone a nice day! :)

I was miserable in TX as the heat/humidity was unbearable for me. I think if I had lived there for a longer period of time I would have adjusted to it some as I have lived in some very hot places...Western Kansas (high of 117), Las Vegas, NV (high of 115), Tampa, FL (high of 98) and Fresno (high of 118). As I have said before I appreciate the cooler temps here in Idaho. I love the snow-capped mountains, deep canyons, and beautiful forests.

I also share a love for natures beauty as you mentioned. Bill, have you ever been to the redwoods in northern California? I spent a weekend there several years ago and absolutely loved it to be among the wild fern foliage and beautiful redwoods.

Yes, I have been in the Redwoods of Northern Calif! I interviewed for a job in Eureka, CA back in the mid 80s. I enjoyed the cool temps and the beautiful tall trees!

I was in Eureka once. I believe we ate at a huge restaurant on the waterfront that was so busy we had to wait to eat. They were not fancy at all but, served delicious homecooked family style dinners.

Happy Sunday, all.:wavey: Kind of a slow, lazy day for me. I fell Friday night and hurt my back, so have been resting when convenient.

Got to see Shirley on Saturday and met Steve and Holly, her grey. They got to meet Bailey and Jack. We had a great talk but it just didn't last long enough. The time just flew by. ;)

Raining and storming here. All we got from Tropical Storm Arlene was a lot of rain. It wasn't close enough for anything else.

Sue, sorry for your addiction, there is no cure.

Jeff, I know what you mean about back-breaking work giving your dogs a bath. At least I only have one to bathe, and he doesn't mind a bath, so it makes the time go quickly.

Bill, I'm the other way around. I'll take the heat and don't want the cold.

Jean, Greg likes the lasagna I make, but I don't make it very often because I only know how to make it one way. A LOT!!! :agree: There's only the two of us and we don't like left overs.

Jeff, you think Bailey keeps Greg sane? Heehee. :funny: Ask him what he did all day today.

Well, going to talk wedding stuff with my daughter later today. Only 5 more months.

Have a great day!:highfive:

Good evening!

Yesterday we had a marvelous visit with Bailey, Vicki, and Greg! Bailey is beautiful, and very sweet. Did his nails, a bit of wing shape-up, and DNA blood sample for sexing... Holly showed him how to clicker train, how to be held for "no biting" while getting worked on, and so on. Admired their beautiful 300- gal reef tank w/100-gal sump --- 400 gallons saltwater altogether for their beautiful sealife! And it was such a pleasure to finally meet Greg and Vicki after all this time!

Then when we arrived back at Mark and Ginny's Gary and Becki and Chloe, Monet, Olive, and Picasso were already here to visit! What a treat! They drove all the way from Palm Bay! I took some really nice pics of all their Poicephalus plus ours all together in portrait shots! Visit the Poicephalus forum to see them. They will be there tonight or tomorrow morning.

This is Gary, Becki, and Chloe -- what a lovely couple! Becki and her Jardines and Meyers are so sweet together, and Chloe is just so precious to finally get to meet! Gary is so proud of her, and so lucky to have her in his life!

Today the boys (our sons Steve and Troy) arrived back from their camping/dive trip -- with DVDs of their DiveQuest at Disney Epcot, Diving with the manatees, and all sorts of stories... huge rainstorm Friday night soaking through their tent... They got to pet the manatees! More later... we are leaving for dinner now... I'll post the promised pics later...

It was way too hot to do that. You'd be dead by now...

Mark and Steve mowed the lawn... sweated beyond recognition... :(

YIKES! I would not be able to survive in that heat! I would give up the ghost really quick! I have had to move during the hottest times of the year in Calif, Texas and Florida. The last time I moved from Tampa I had to load everything by myself. Just imagine me carrying this huge desk from my apartment to the truck...by myself! Then when I finally got it into the truck I nearly fainted from the extreme heat inside the truck. This is one memory that haunts my existence in Florida! I have had to move once in the cold times of the year here. Nothing like melting in the heat! LOL!

I hope everyone who worked hard there had lots of water! Makes me thirsty just thinking about it!

I forgot to mention that when I moved from Tampa I was 30 years old...that was almost twelve years ago! YIKES!
