Hi Everyone,

It's really cold here today after the heat wave during the week:(

We had a nice meal out last night, I had roast lamb and Dave had beef stroganoff, yum!

I have to work this morning to catch up:rolleyes:

Good morning! It is going to be a nice but rainy day here. I am looking forward to having a great day reading, relaxing and just a little bit of work this afternoon. Scooter had a shower last night so she is looking super! She said, Good baby! last night! HEHE! Hope you have a great weekend!

It must be raining everywhere today/yesterday. It rained :rain:all night last night and only just stopped this morning.

Morning All!:wavey:
Finished up with my string of midnite shifts today, treated myself to breakfast on the way home,,,(of course, coffee was included)LOL
Shampooed the living room carpet, b4 the wife got home(too much noise when she sleeps after midnites)
Checked in on the birds , played,fed, and gave them their weekend treats, lots of different fruits/veggies,,,(i clean cages tomorrow, LOL)
Ran some laundry after i tucked the wife in to bed,
Making some reverse osmosis water(50 gallons) to make salt water for a water change in the 180 gallon tomorrow(reefing talk, sorry;) )
slowed down enuf to make me a lil "un energized" while typing this(drat) so maybe i might treat myself to a sitdown and read the paper for a bit, b4 i start up again ,and get to getting bz.
Hot and chance of rain the next few days here also, need to tackle some of the 10 acres around here, the grass is winning,,:mad: but so is my back, and can't picture myself sitting on the tractor, or using the weed whacker,,OW!
so that part of my chores are slacking off, and it's driving me CRAZY!:angryfire :hammer:

Oh well that'll happen,,,no use in getting riled up over it,,

Vicki and Greg, Let me warn you, pick a comfy chair to plop down in after you spend time with Shirley and the bunch,,,you will need it! mean this only in the best of ways,,,,you will find you two emotionally drained/recharged after this,,,all while having a smile on your faces(if your faces don't hurt too much from the laughing and smiling from the visit.)
Also, be ready, Shirley is a grade A ,number 1 class hugger! :grouphug2 :tighthug:
If you have any deep rooted,underlying,bad emotions in you, when she hugs ya, it'll be gone in a second after, LOL! You'll did not know you could feel so great after meeting them all!

It is sunny and already 60 today. I see several of you are getting rain instead. Al and I are going to my brothers for dinner tonight. I am taking strawberries, shortcake and whip cream for desert.

Sue, your lamb sounded like a lovely dinner. Going out for a special dinner is always nice.

Majj, it sounds like you need to catch up on some rest this weekend. Hopefully, you can wake up to a nice sunny day.

Bill, your weather sounds like it would be nice to curl up with a cockatoo and a book while relaxing. Most likely, in seperate order if you want to keep your book in tack. :agree: Scooter sounds pretty as can be.

Vicki, I know your excited about your company, I'm sure you will all have a great time together. Hope it's not to windy there today.

Jeff, it does sound like you have a lot of yard to care for. and I used to think an acre was a lot to keep up.

The temps have dropped off to the low 50s now. It has been raining off and on for the last couple of hours. Scooter is on top of her cage looking outside at the magpies and squirrels...sure would like to know what she is thinking about them!???

I am planning on curling up with a book soon after supper.
