I finally got them back on Mickey. His proventiculis(sp) was perforated and formed an abcess that ruptured and caused septicemia. So, the only good thing is that other than that he was healthy, no parasites, no contagious or infectious disease. Somehow he ate something that tore it although they could not find any foreign objects in him. Poor Mickey, I feels os bad he must have been in so much pain but I'm glad it ended for him when it did the vet said even with xrays they never would have figured out that that was what the problem was. I just wanted tp update everyone. Leah

Poor little guy, it must of been a blessing for him to be out of that pain. You did all you could for him. :tighthug: Thank goodness, he had no contagious disease.

Thank you for the update. :flower:

I am very relieved that it wasn't because of disease,I was so worried about my other guys. A little baffled about what he could have ingested but the man that did the necropsy is supposed to be one of the best in exotics and my vet has the upmost respect for him. Thank you! Leah

:tighthug: glad to hear it was not contagious or anything, but I'm sure don't lessen the pain from loosing him over somehing they couldn't/wouldn't find.

How's the other teils doing lately?

Thanks for the update

Thanks Barb:heart:

The others are doing good and I am so happy I can finally put their room back together for them. They are used to having their play area and I took down all the toys and everything. I'll be busy the next couple of days.:p
