There's a rumor going around BOAF that a certain Goffins cockatoo has a higher decibel level then a certain Moluccan

We've been waiting patiently for a clip so Tango decided to squelch all rumors with the following testimonial.

Clip Background.

I was doing some voice overs for Fid Foto 101 and decided that I might be able to use some footage of Tango on the Atom while I was talking about digital camera shooting modes.

Disclaimer: No parrots were harmed in this video but the human's ears are still ringing. Turn down your speakers. You've been warned

Robin,

Now, I know my memory is not what it used to be. Do you remember someone on this board talking about presenting their clip of a loud cockatoo?:wavey:

Why, yes, Len - now that you mention it....

I do believe that does 'ring' a bell (of the non-smoke alarm type).

Yes, I feel fairly confident that I recall something along the lines of what is known in these-parts as a good old-fashioned challenge....

Since my memory isn't quite as good as it used to be, I would certainly be reluctant to mention the name(s) of anyone who might have tossed out the challenge gauntlet, cos the person might be busy and just have not yet had the time to present their loud-bird clip... and also, I don't know if Sherl's wants her name to be menti..

(Oh - whoops!) Didn't mean to do that!

Ok, I have no idea what's up. But, I have been getting only white spots on the page. It looks like it's loading, but never does. And, I've tried just clicking on the white spot and nothing happens. I really want to see all these videos! Not fair! So...what am i doing wrong?

I'm not trying to make a contest out of this, but I haven't heard "loud" yet...

I will try to make it to Ellen's with audio recording equipment but it won't be this week. I'm gone tomorrow/weds, and we have TGF this Friday-Sunday...

Mary - you need Flash plugin installed to watch the video... It's free and from www.adobe.com

HA! Hubby asked me what that was... and yelled back; "WHAAAT?!". Times like that, I'm glad I have a cute, quiet Meyer! :funny:

(Also, he's pointing at all you guys' avatars and sigs and telling me what the birds are... [or aren't... :funny: ] not 100% birdbrain, yet.... but I'll get him!! *brings out clicker*)

Why, I believe ya'll are speaking of my sweet little baby 'toos.....who have been heard by our neighbors half a mile down the road...and we have lots of noise-dampening trees between us.

Yes. Merlin and Shelby together are unbeatable. Shelby.....BE2, Len, MUCH louder than a G2  can pierce an eardrum with a single shriek....and Merlin  Let's just say that my hearing is gone after ten years of macho Moluccan vocalizing.

So....as soon as we aren't busy at signing parties, speaking engagements and saving birds, Shirls and I will BLAST your ears off :roflmao2:
