Hi everyone,
I got a new Eclectus Parrot. His name WAS Swede, but I changed it to Marley. He is 1 yrs old and doing very well. He's not a super huge talker yet but I have only had him for a few weeks. He says "hello" and makes noises for now. Any suggestions to encourage talking in the future? I also have pics of my Meyer, Petey (in the next window) and my 150 reef tank in the wall. Petey is 6 yrs old now and doesn't seem to care much about Marley.

Petey loves his upside down trick.

How absolutely beautiful! Petey's colors are just gorgeous... not to take anything away from Marley! Mr. Upside down bird looks like he's a real clown! The blue on Marley's wings is just precious...
You really want Marley to talk? Just pick a word that you would absolutely never want him to repeat, and say it with conviction, ONE time...
He'll repeat it incessantly and never forget it! :rotflmao:

We have two four year old Male Meyers. One likes to hang upside down by one foot and call "Mommy". The other one just likes everything and everybody.
Meyers are the perfect first bird. Good apartment birds. Lots of fun and with every molt they get prettier.

That reef is going to be amazing. I wish I had a big enough space and enough money to do that. I have a hard enough time with m 150, but deeply wish I had a bigger setup! Just gorgeous!
I am partial to the green ones too, but I love my Petey as well. Marley is still just a baby and sure does act like it sometimes. He likes to jump off his cage to come and be with me or try and chew on everything in the room. I worry about the electrical cords and don't let him out without supervision!
Congratulation on your new baby! :beerchug:
I hope to see much more of him. :)
