well i've always been a little hesitant to call my red eyed rosy bourke's a female. this morning while cleaning and feeding chores i found an egg in the food dish. no more questions about her sex. i had taken down the nest box just last weekend to make a few adjustments, and possibly add a camera to it. now i guess i'll have to make an extra effort this weekend to rehang it for them.
here's a picture of her, when she was younger

Are either of these related to Kilroy? Is she a granddaughter of Kilroy?

shirley the 'wild color' one (male-Sweet Heart) is Kilroy's son. and Red Eye (female) would be Kilroy's granddaughter. i'm not quiet sure she knows what to do with the eggs this time, since this is her first attempt. we'll see.

Who did you breed the red-eye with? They are both gorgeous!
Lily is on 5 eggs now! Due March 9. She is bred to a Rosy full brother to Sweetheart.

Your red-eye granddaughter to Kilroy has a feather exactly like Ginny-gin's - it comes forward - the leading short feather on the shoulder as the wing begins. Ginny-gin is Kilroy and Papa Rosy's daughter, a 1/2-sister to Sweetheart.
