Thanks everyone. I had a great celebration. We started by going to Universal for the day, on Wed. It rained all the way to Orlando, but the day was great. Lots of overcast and a few sprinkles. The sun did not make a bright appearance, so the temp was a pleasant mid 70s.

I spent Thurs vegging with some friends and watched a few movies. Yesterday, my boss told me to go home at noon, so I did. We went out to dinner with a few friends last night. I am making dinner for a few people tonight, and we are watching a few DVDs.

I am sitting on the patio now, enjoying the nice outcast day. I am listening to the new NIN CD/DVD. It has not rained yet today. We have had rain every day for over a week now. It was needed.

I hope the upcomng year will be great for all of us. I know it will be busy, as the quest for licensure is very time consuming and expensive.

You are so right Joe! I am going to put in 300 hours of study for the EPPP for my psychologist licensure. EEK! We can do it! YEAH!

Do you require supervision for your licensure or do you simply take a test? The supervision is the expensive portion for me.

BTW Bill, I am considering buying the Apple Bluetooth keybaord and mouse today, along with some rechargeable batteries. I am tired of wires!

The state of Idaho requires 1000 hours of supervision in one year plus an expensive exam as well as the application process is not cheap. The exam I have to take has had a failure rate of 50% so I want to study as much as possible so I know the materials well enough to pass. Some states also require Oral Examinations...thank goodness Idaho does not.

I don't blame you for getting the Apple Keyboard and Mouse. I have it for this laptop.

The state of Idaho also requires an additional 1000 hours but pre-doctorate, however, it cannot be the internship...so thankfully I have 1367 hours of supervised experience prior to my internship. Whew! By the time I get licensed I will have nearly 6000 hours of supervision!

I just loaded the new bluetooth keyboard and mouse. It only took a few seconds for the the notebook to locate and establish a working connection. The hardest part was opening the box and unwrapping everything. Its refreshing that Apples includes batteries. Logitech and Microsoft do not. I did buy some rechargeable batteries to replace the included ones when they are spent. Apple offers such simple and elegant items.

The toughest part of the licenser process is finding time for supervision. I have so many meeting to attend within the agency and in the community, that it makes my availability difficult. Then, try arranging this with someone else's schedule! I am blessed to be supervised by one of the best play therapist in Florida. The other supervisor that I fall back on is one of my previous supervisors when I was an adoption social worker. I am lucky enough that both supervisors are offering me a discount rate for thier time. Supervision in Florida can be up to $150 an hour.

The manner that I have to be supervised allows for the supervisor to receive payment for anything he/she signs off on. This way I don't have to pay them for their time as they are going to receive payment regardless as it has to be billed under their license. Once I have taken and passed the exam then I do not have to be in the same location as the supervisor (which is about 10 hours a week before the exam is passed).

My friend gave me the Stones "40 licks" CD earlier today. What an awesome compilation. Every song rocks.
