Some of you already know that my oldest son has high functioning autism, language arts is the hardest for him to grasp and he is incredible at math. I was very worried because he had to take the SAT test(he's in 1st grade and I find it totally ridiculous and even contacted the school board and let them know that too). He spent many a mnay night crying because of the preparation and I was extremely frustrated that they were including him in this testing, he has been in special learning programs since he was 4 and is an ESE student, I could have had him placed in a class with the special needs students but thought a regular class would be best and then he gets pulled out to go to his special classes.
Anyway I got the results today and he scored average in language(low but average) Yay!!!! and he scored well above average in math. I am so proud of him, I'm so happy he attempted to do well on the test instead of giving up. Just had to share!! YAY!!!!!!!
Leah, Give him a big hug from

Thank you evryone, I was just soooo suprised and thrilled! He's definitely going to get a special treat for this!
I couldn't ask for a better kid though, he touches everyone that gets to know him. He is very sweet and kind and sensitive.
Christie, honestly the hardest part is that things have to be a certain way or he will freak out like nothing you've ever seen before. His schedule, his toys, etc. He is very very set in his ways. It's funny because when he was a baby if I rearranged things in my house, he would put them back to where they originally were. LOL.
School's only hard because of the expectations put on the kids and I do have to work with him at home a lot. I have a great relationship with his school and teachers though.
Thanks again everyone, I'm just tickled pink!:rotflmao:

Leah, you ARE talking about your real human child right, not a Grey?? hehehe J/K
I'm so happy for you and his progress at school. I know it is hard and demanding at times, but this just proves all your hard work has paid a wonderful price :goodjob: It always helps to have someone http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/superbirdie/cheerleader.jpg for him to encourage him along the way ;)
