Could anyone tell me what a good hand raising mix is. I do live in Australia so i realise it may be different from most of you. Also with the hand raising mix can that be giving to any age? The bird I am wanting to feed is about to fledge shes coming into 5 and half weeks old.

can anyone help ??

My favorite is Roudybush. It is very smooth and creamy. I order it from
http://foryourbird.com

It is available at a variety of places... just do a Web search.

Other brands are good, such as Harrisons. I've not seen another brand as creamy or well-recommended as Roudybush. The others I've tried are grainier. I've never tried Harrison's nor seen what it looks like.

Sometimes it is difficult to get an older baby to accept handfeedings.

I wouldn't recommend Pretty Bird, not that it's a bad formula, some people swear by it but it is very watery compared to other formulas and I think it makes it a little more difficult to feed.
