Hi Kristie, Bailey doesn't do any "talking" but he's sure good at chattering with Jack, our American Eskimo dog. When the two of them get going, you need to leave the room. :rotflmao::rofl:
He also is very close to Greg and I. If one or the other of us leave the room he shrieks and calls to us until we come back. :D He knows when daddy is home because he hears the garage door shut and starts calling out.
During the day while I'm working at my computer, I have him in my office. He's basically quiet, no shrieks or shrills, except he'll just "chatter" in a low tone. Very soothing, actually. No real words, but just soft noises. :agree:

Isn't that nice when they just chatter away softly while you work? I just love that! :agree:

Bird? What bird?
Bird? What bird?:roflmao2:
The one in your dreams :cloud9: try to go back to slep. :roflmao2:
Suns have a piercing screech when you get out of sight (their flock call) but its worse if they do it in your EAR  , when calling someone in the other room...
Sunny doesn`t speak its not all that common for the sun conures to talk although I think Sunny sayd hello !! in a gruff tone but it could just be my wishful thinking :scratchch ..I do however know he understands and is a very smart bird , maybe they just don`t have the physical aspects to make speech as easy as some of the other fids....
Doesn`t matter one iota to us speech or sqwalk he is our baby...we need some more picys of bailey in his now normal routines at home pleaseeeeeeeeeee:wavey:
We have shared our home with a bird for almost 12 years. I can not even think how lonesome it would be without hearing a bird playing, chattering and talking either with us or to his toys.
There is nothing sweeter then hearing this cute little voice say "hi baby"
"I'm hungry" "do you like that?" "Happy Boy" "I love you" "pretty bird"
or just plain gibber jab.
