that to bad the grey was traumatized to the point the owner can even get near her, poor bird but she did save herself from who knows what would of been ahead of her..
That is right Sadenna, she had to be so frightened and who knows if he threw or hit her when she bit him. I would imagine her wings were clipped if she was found a few yards from the thief. That would be a terrible trauma for that poor baby to overcome.:(
My initial thought was more about the thrill of the bird being found and the thief being captured.

Don't mess with a momma!:D I'm glad she got away and I hope that once she gets settled home again with her baby she won't be as traumatized. Thanks for the story!
Awwwww poor bird but at least she saved herself and got the thief nabbed ....Police coming ...how cute ..smart bird....hope she can over come the trauma..

Glad you all liked the story, found it in my local paper on-line, and instead of figuring how to post the link i sent it to Shirley to post. This is a new shop, just starting out, last time i was in there to check 'em out they had no birds, but looked like a bird room was in the works.
Glad the Grey came out with hopefully no lasting problems from the ordeal, and hope the problems caused by the taking of her from the store ,are short lived.
And hopefully this idiot that thought to steal this bird, has lots of pain from the "attack" from the Grey for a long time, and that he gets the maximum punishment from the courts,AND gets the upmost ridicule from anyone that knows him for a long, long time,,,,,
"Watta you in for?",,,,,"I broke in ,and stole a parrot",,,,,"how'd you get caught?"
,,, " The bird bit me all up, and i sat at the curb when the cops came,,,and the bird was saying ,(just a few feet from me) "police coming" , in MY voice!"
"MAN! you are a IDIOT!"
(The scenario as i imagine it,LOL,,,,or hope!):agree:  :rotflmao:
