Hi!

Hello everyone :emot-danc

I'm (obviously!) new to the forum, and new to keeping birds.

I have a bit of a menagerie, numerous reptiles, cats and dogs and amphibians, and now a gorgeous little white cockatiel hen called Bella. She's only ten weeks old and is hand reared and really affectionate. :wub:

Hubby has had birds before, but this is an all new adventure for me! :thumbup:

I'm hoping to learn a lot, and also to perhaps add to the family, I keep drooling every time I see pics of macaws :foot-tap:

Well, we've had reptiles, amphibs, the whole gamut, too when the boys were young... now we have corn snakes in the house again and ... um ... two pink toe tarantulas b/c our eldest, Troy, is back from grad school for a bit...

Research like crazy before making a decision regarding macaws... look at plenty adults, not just the cute little ones... have you raised your children yet? That's a serious consideration...

Your cockatiel sounds adorable!

We'd love to see pics of *all* your adorable family ~ feathered, furred, scaled, and so on!

I will start uploading pics soon - I have (since I am in Australia they are all aussies except for the cats):

A diamond python
A bredli python
two short necked murray river turtles
two bearded dragons
two ocellate ridge tailed monitors
some red eyed green tree frogs
two bengal cats
a doberman
and my new cockatiel baby :)

I always research my animals thoroughly, and I think that I will have several years to do this research, here in Australia it seems that prices start at $8,000.00.

I am Marion aka Majj from Lake Macquarie in NSW..I have 2 fids Sunny a sun conure and Buddy a Quaker, I live with hubby Joe and we have 3 adult kids , who seem to come and go ..our fur babies are Zeus the samoyed and Frosty the 17yr old deaf puss...Welocome to the group , can`t wait to see some piccy`s you certainly have quite a zoo....
