Hi all,
I'm looking for info on breeding senegals. If anyone knows of a site or two where I can read up, I'd be grateful! I have a bonded/visually sexed pair who are 7 years old and have been together since they were very young. They are not related. I'm hoping to breed them.

I have experience with baby birds as the friend I got these sennies from used to breed 'tiels, sun conures and such, but I haven't bred before.

Thank you!

You might consider buying this book:
African Parrots (African Parrots)
by Rick Jordan (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=books&field-author-exact=Rick%20Jordan/103-3238994-3208648), Jean Pattison (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=books&field-author-exact=Jean%20Pattison/103-3238994-3208648)

both authors have extensive experience raising and breeding the African species of parrots: Senegals, Capes, and so on.

I Don't know what the book covers, and I don't have a copy of it. Jean Pattison is in Florida and Rick Jordan is from the Hill Country Aviaries in Texas.

The book can be purchased new or used on Amazon.com

Michelle (African Red-Belly) was hatched at Rick Jordan's aviaries.
