Hello everyone. I came across this forum on a website that I was looking at. Thought it would be interesting to chat with fellow bird owners. To let you know a little about our little family:
My husband and I have 2 conures, a Nanday, and a Sun. We have 2 teils, and 2 parakeets.
My husband had the Sun when we met, and later we aquired the Nanday when my BIL decided that he was too much to handle.
Then when my Grandmother passed away a year ago, We aquired her Tiel. He has behavioral issues, but we are slowly working through all that. He wasn't being fed the proper diet, and I doubt that he got the proper attention that he needed. To add to our family we went and bought another tiel that had been hand fed, and was still a baby. He is so sweet.
Then a friend of ours called us up one day, and told us that they had recieved a parakeet that the owner didn't want anymore. They knew that we would take him/her in. So we went and evaluated the situation with the little cutie, and decided that we could give him a very loving safe environment to live in. When we got him he had all kinds of crustation around his beak. Not sure from what though. But that has since went away. Shortly after we rescued that little sweetie, we couldn't resist a little one that we seen in the pet store. It was like he was calling out to us to take him home. So we did. Oh he has been such a help to the rescue that we got. They preen each other, and chirp for hours back and forth. It is adorable. Picture will soon follow.:wavey:
