Hello everyone. I came across this forum on a website that I was looking at. Thought it would be interesting to chat with fellow bird owners. To let you know a little about our little family:

My husband and I have 2 conures, a Nanday, and a Sun. We have 2 teils, and 2 parakeets.

My husband had the Sun when we met, and later we aquired the Nanday when my BIL decided that he was too much to handle.

Then when my Grandmother passed away a year ago, We aquired her Tiel. He has behavioral issues, but we are slowly working through all that. He wasn't being fed the proper diet, and I doubt that he got the proper attention that he needed. To add to our family we went and bought another tiel that had been hand fed, and was still a baby. He is so sweet.

Then a friend of ours called us up one day, and told us that they had recieved a parakeet that the owner didn't want anymore. They knew that we would take him/her in. So we went and evaluated the situation with the little cutie, and decided that we could give him a very loving safe environment to live in. When we got him he had all kinds of crustation around his beak. Not sure from what though. But that has since went away. Shortly after we rescued that little sweetie, we couldn't resist a little one that we seen in the pet store. It was like he was calling out to us to take him home. So we did. Oh he has been such a help to the rescue that we got. They preen each other, and chirp for hours back and forth. It is adorable. Picture will soon follow.:wavey:

These are the pics that we have taken recently.

These are our Tiels (obviously) Mango is hanging off the side of the cage, and JR is on the perch. Most of the time they choose to stay in the cage. We leave the cage door open so that they can come out when they want to.

This is Sunny. He is our Sun Conure. He is the spoiled one.

These are our two Keets. We decided on names for them recently, although I am not sure I am happy with them. Left is Gizmo, and Right is Saphyre.

And last but definately not least. This is our Nanday. His name is Boots. The picture here isn't that great of one, but of course it wasn't taken with the digital Camera either. Notice the White area just above his beak. He was injured in a accident that nearly caused me to have a heart attack. We hadn't clipped his wing feathers in a while to give him free reign to come visit when he wanted, and one day he got startled and flew straight into the ceiling fan. Needless to say it knocked him to the floor. I picked him up and he was bleeding. We called the avian vet, and they told us what to do to stop the bleeding and to make sure that everything was in tact. He just managed to scrape some of his feathers off his head. Since they have completely healed and he is back to his normal self.

They have a section at the bottom of the page that has ads that you can click on. This site happened to be one of them at the time.

Thank you very much, I used to know the owner of FF years ago when I was a moderator on another forum, and she was always very nice and helpful with information as a member on that forum.

Thank you!
