where do the red eyes come from??:drool2: Does any body know about shipping ? are they sent to your post office or do you pick them up at an airport? Is it hard on the bird? I would really like to know.

Scotty - are you referring to a "red eye" flight? If so those usually occur overnight. OOpppps now wait a min. I don't want to get involved in filling that beautiful Garnet cage with a beautiful feathered friend - ok - just "white-out" my name, if your hubby comes close to the computer!!

Patti, no! no!no! I'm talking about Jim's Bourkes,if you look close youl'l see 2 have red eyes, and I was just wondering if that was a recessive [sp]gene or what:confused:

HAHAHA Scotty you crack me up :P!!!!

I think the bourkes would be classified as an INO due to the red eyes... I know Skittles is a Lutino (Lut+ino) as she has red eyes.
They wouldn't be considered an albino as they have colour pigmentation in their feathers.. if they were PURE white on the other hand, they would be albino.

I don't know how to go into all the scientific genetics talk on how a bird comes to get that eye colouring. But I know with lovebirds, if one parent(unsure of m or f) has the ino eyes all female or male babies will have the red eyes.. but if the other parent has normal eyes it's the opposite of the youngs gender having the red eyes....???????? LOL
I got myself confused now... It makes sense in my brain, but not typed lol

You know what would look GREAT in your cage??? A Conure or a Quaker <3

Oh gosh, I'm rolling.

Patti, if I find your mind running around here somewhere, I'll hold onto it until you are able to claim it. But, I'm still missing my motivation. If you find it over yonder, please grab it, duct tape it to a non-moving object and as soon as I can catch a red-eye, I'll be there to grab a hold of it!
