Good Morning!

Sue, I LOVE the photo of Toto! You must post more often pics of him! He's such a handsome clown!!
Majj, Nice to see you this morning ~ Get yourself warmed up and have a nice ... um ... evening is it by now?
It's only 7:00 a.m. here! (I'm going back to bed!)
Trevor went to work at 6:00, Troy has friends from Chicago dropping in around 11:30 to visit "the zoo" they've heard so much about - so he's promised to meet them for breakfast in town at 10 first, but to vacuum for ME BEFORE he leaves to meet them for breakfast, as I just learned late last night about this! We clean cages on weekends, and I had Steve help me with a photo shoot yesterday so nothing was cleaned!
Have a great day, and Sue... Can't wait for Falconry photos!

Toto is a nut!
What a silly boy.
I am highly amused by falconry. I once wanted to be apprenticed to get a license, but then I found out that the time of the year when you do the most with the bird is the time of the year when I can't walk like a normal human many days.
*shrug*
I have my "baby bald eagle" so we're good to go.

Happy Sunday, all! :wavey: I guess the weatherman can go on vacation and leave the forecast the same. Sunny and warm. :rotflmao:
Sue, have a great holiday and enjoy your vacation. That was an awesome picture of Toto. It looks like he's balancing his toy on his beak. :funny:
Majj, you really are on the other side of the world, aren't you? Stay warm.
Shirley, have fun showing off your zoo.
BN, sorry to hear that you can't walk at times. :tighthug: I guess that would conflict with falconry, eh?
We had a Red Dwarf marathon yesterday, watching all of Season 1. I do love the show though. :emot-danc
I didn't get much gardening done yesterday, so will have to work on it today.
Hi again, we didn't go to the falconry show, ran out of time cos of the big clean up after the bathroom, you wouldn't believe the red dust, our internal walls are brick (not normal here) and we just cleaned and cleaned and then missed the last show:rolleyes:
Shirley, falconry is very common here, in fact a new colleague of Dave's has birds of prey so I think we may meet them soon.
Hi :wavey: It has been a cloudy day. I see a few areas of blue skies where some beautiful sunshine is peeking through. The temp is only 57 at 3:30 so I do not expect it to get much warmer today. A couple days ago the pelicans arrived at the nearby lakes and river. That says summer is around the corner. :sunshines We are meeting friends for a BBQ tomorrow and will enjoy our local Memorial Day parade. I hope the weather is nice and dry.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/jeanaskins/graphics/birdsings2.gif Sue, Have a great week on your vacation.
I love the pic of Toto. He is always a sweetheart. I did not know falconry was that common there.
Shirley, Have a nice weekend. How did the photo shoot go yesterday. It must have been a treat to have Steve join you. Loved all your pics you posted today.
Vicki, I know you love your beautiful Florida sunshine.
Our summers are usually beautiful, not to hot not much humidity.
Birdnerd, I'm sorry to hear you have health problems. That is tough when you can't get around sometimes. :tighthug:
Majj, have a nice weekend. Try not to over do it this weekend. Have a good nights sleep. :cloud9: enjoy sweet birdie dreams.
Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable weekend. :)

Hi everyone again!
This was taken this morning in our bedroom window sill!
Tucker and various Bourkes from the two cages in the bedroom... his cagemates and Kilroy's partner and one of her offspring that has a home waiting... this week.
Jean, Steve was such a worried Dad! He was so sure they'd try to fly away or get scared! NOT! It was Tucker, Play-Doh, and Michelle, and I posted the pics in their respective forums. I think he will be more relaxed next time. The birds certainly were!
Good Evening to all the super members here! I have had a great day and I will read some before going to bed...but first I am going to spend some special time with my little girl, Scooter! Hope everyone is having a safe Memorial holiday weekend!
Raining here...in fact about 25 minutes to the southeast there is a report of a tornado heading away from Twin Falls. I am used to tornadoes from living in Kansas for so many years.
BN...please take care!
Sue that is a very cute picture! I love it!
Shirley, they are sure enjoying that sunshine. May I ask, what is the Bourke holding on to? There must be something to grab on the window we can not see.
Bill, good to hear you and Scooter will have some fun time together today.

That's the window screen. The window is up, and they are listening to the outdoor birds. And vice versa, I'll bet. Also, just above that window is a birdhouse with a family of tiny house wrens. Just parents, no hatchlings yet, but they make beautiful songs. :)

Evening all!
Was able to only check in a lil bit while at work today,,,
Now i'm home,,,long day , including work.
Went to my sister's and hubby's house after work, another god-son/nephew b-day today,,had fun spending time with the kids,al three of them LOL.
Got home ,and hooked up my new sat TV reciever, and lucked out on aiming the dish, from it's old position, darn thing was right on first time!:emot-danc
Waiting on UPs to deliver the new bed system,(Thurs) but talk of re-doing the bedroom is growing, latest was new closet doors , LOL!
Tomorrow we are looking for a new TV in the living room, now that we have decent reception, we really need to replace the current TV(was one of the many things damaged by a two yr old lightning strike to the house) and never got around to replacing it, is not that bad, just "off" in a few parameters in viewing to make sense now to replace, also, we will be looking at carpeting etc. for the bedroom, not dreading the actual work, more like the action of moving everything out of the room. Removing and replacing the carpet, painting the room, and new trim and closet doors don't scare me,(actually looking forward to it) When my wife gets on a decorating "kick" , its best to just shut up,and go along with it, LOL
Hope everyone had a great day, and those of you off for the rest of the holiday ,be safe, and enjoy the day, and remember the true reason for it,,,

BN, sorry to hear that you can't walk at times.
When those days come around, I slug some Aleve and water down the ol' gullet and keep my stick in hand. I get around, but I don't do it with any real speed.

That is not something enjoyable to live with. :tighthug: It's good Aleve will help lessen pain some. Is yours due to sciatica pain?

Their little nails are great for grabbing onto screen. We have a flock of the tiny house wrens here. They are enjoyable to watch as they scurry around and chatter with each other.

No. I was born funny. My hips were out of socket. This was not noticed until I was developmentally late standing up. My mom would put me on my feet and I would scream and fall over. I was in a brace for many moons. Since then, I've always had issues with the illiotibial tract (band of tendons and muscles that run up the outside of your leg from above the hip to below the knee). One end of that tract or the other hurts from time to time. My hip joint also has a tendency to snap against that tendon and I stumble, sometimes going down entirely.
It's annoying but survivable, and God has granted me the perseverance to handle it.

I like your outlook, that's a great attitude to have

OMG you poor gal, that has to be very painful. :tighthug: What a sad thing for a tiny tot to have such pain. If they had of known from the beginning could there of been some surgery done to correct it? you be careful, those stumbles can be very harmful. You have a great outlook, your faith helps so much.:tighthug:

Oh, I am so sorry! I can't imagine what that is like for a small child, or for your mother! You are so fortunate, and so strong! :tighthug: And you know what, you have WINGS to hold you up and carry you anywhere you want!!

Some days are better than others. I take 'em as they come.

Not reliably. There is a surgery that might have helped ... or might have made it worse.

Gravity always brings me down. ;)
I can usually catch myself when the floor comes flying up at me. When that doesn't work, I've been able to slow my decent enough that the landing isn't too unhappy.
