I personally can't stand PETA. The thing that bothers me most is that I think the majority of people that support them don't knopw exactly what they are supporting. PETA would be happy to come into each one of our houses and take all our pets and kill them and make them extinct before ever allowing an animal to be apet again. There is a big difference between animal rights and animal welfare. PETA has made some good changes but I believe it's only a small part of their overall "plan" and do these things to persuade the public. I will never support any group or organization that uses violence or intimidation to get it's views across.

I feel the same way about PITA as you do. :agree: I wonder how many people that donate to them know they operate their own shelter and euthanize so many pets. :(

I've always steered clear of any organization that runs in the extreme regarding its cause, and runs on such a negative platform. Way back in the 70's, when it was supposed to be so "chic" to support them, I did not trust anyone capable of being so cruel to humanity in the name of "helping" animals.

I had never followed their organization as much as some. They have always gone to the extreme to prove their point. That in itself, turned my interests elsewhere. They have always appeared to be a radical activist group. Since they have been exposed, this may direct some of their donated money to support some more deserving needy organizations.
