View Full Version : TGI a long weekend!
I am exhausted from working two jobs and preparing for my licenser exam. I so am looking forward to a few days of having no schedule! I am taking off next Wed and Thurs to go to Orlando with a few friends. We are celebrating a few B-Days and will have a good time. I hope its not too hot.
I finally got my braces off! Ruby is confused because she likes to try to grab them, every chance that she gets. I am happy to say that she never was quick enough to get a hold of them. I am so glad to be able to eat whatever without worrying about them breaking.
I can imagine you do feel good and look great with a beautiful smile. It sounds like you deserve a relaxing week. Have a happy time. :emot-danc

Have a good relaxing time Joe!!
btdt, w/the braces thing, lol
I am enjoying life without wire. We took the boat out with some friends this evening and had a cookout. It is so good to be able to eat steak!
I'll bet it tasted good to have a steak. I love to go boating, It is one of my favorite outings.
Did you have to wear your braces long?
Almost two years.
I like boating too, but enjoy it more in the evening.
I agree, :agree: with the enjoying an evening boat cruze out of the heat of the sun.
After two years wearing braces you must feel great.

Hi Joe!
Congratulations on the new teeth arrangement.
You've been a busy critter. Get some RnR!
The best part is we have a boat lift now. No more playing around with a trailer! Now we simply dock the boat, unload everything, pull the boat around to the lift, and push a button. This was an investment! Before we invested in the lift the lift, we had to play with trailer for a dry dock or keep the boat in the water at the dock that leads to added wear and tear on the boat parts and accessories. Its also easier to clean and maintain the boat on the lift. We need to place another light on the dock, as it is dark out there in the evening.
Hey BN...good to hear from you!
There is nothing like the lift..they do make a vast difference especially, on a larger one. What kind and how large of a boat do you have?
We have a 21' cabin sport that we bought with my brother-in-law. They live on the intercoastal that is minutes from a the ocean. We are going to get back into fishing and snorkeling later this summer, when I buy new supplies. All of my equipment was stolen a while back.
I hope it was insures. That makes you sick. I am trying to picture 21 ft cabin sport, Is it one with the small kitchen and sleeping quarters down in the hull?
WOW! Joe, I hope you have a great holiday vacation! You deserve one with all that work and studying for the licensure! That is going to be my next step once I get the editing taken care of.
I am glad to hear you have had your braces off!
Your boat sounds nice! Enjoy your time!
It has a cabin that sleeps up to four uncomfortably, a few storage spots, and facilities. It also has a nice open deck in the back that is accessorized for fishing.
Sounds awesome Joe! Maybe I will get to see it when I come down your way!
Maybe I will have my motorcycle by then! I still have not decided on which model that I want. I have been doing alot of window shopping!
I am hoping to make it down there maybe by next Spring or late Fall of 2006!
The storage spots would be nice. Do you ever spent the night on it?
Our 19 ft Tahiti ski boat also had a nice seating area on the stern. It had two backward seats to the driver and passenger forward seats and two padded side bench seats. Nice if you took several people or wanted to lay down. It also had the chrome grab on railings on the bow.
My friend is getting a 50+' when he finsihes building his house. It will be big enough for trips to the Bahamas and some serious fishing trips.
I have not slept on the boat, as I have pinched nerves and the beds are not that comfortable.
Bill, you should take a seriuos vacation before 2006!
50+ now, that is serious! I am sure he will enjoy it.
A friend from church has a 65 ft yacht and what a dream. He's been a lawyer for many years, making it affordable. Upkeep alone on it is a minimum $2,000. a month. It costs him several hundred just to take it out on a harbor excursion.

Wow... That's a lot of boat! :O
My stepdad had a boat when I was a little squirt. He'd go zipping around Canyon Lake.
Boats in general are an expensive hobby, especially with the gas prices. A large boat or yaht simply inhales gas. A trip to the Islands from here would be an expensive weekend. My friend is from old money, so an expensive weekend is not as painful to his wallet. His house is being constructed on water front property and will have a large dock for his future boat.
Wow the boat sounds great Joe!!! Hope you have a good time next week.
We hope to hire a boat on our holiday:dance:
