This was the first picture with my new camera. I didn't know when it was focused. I should have let it auto focus.

This is my wife's favorite plant. I planted it and I keep the weeds away. It grows like a weed.

I like to take flower pictures. Their beauty just amazes me. This is in the back yard. I have some others that are nicer than this one. I love Hibiscus. I planted 6 more today. I had to stop because I was getting over heated and my chest started to hurt.

I plant kale, brocolli and carrots for the birds tomorrow.

Gary, your flowers are beautiful! There is nothing more glamorous then being surrounded with beautiful flowers.

I had a humming bird make a pass through my patio yesterday afternoon. He must of mistaken the sun gleaming off my colored Christmas lights. Now, I feel a little guilty for not having a hummingbird feeder.

Beautiful flowers Gary, we had the Hibiscus on our deck all summer,I too got carried away,I had 5 tree's and 1 bush all diff. colors. Boy your lucky, you can plant all year round.Think I'm moving to Florida.

The trouble with planting all year round is that it depletes the soil so you have to use more fertilizer. I go to the stables and get horse... I have a friend who has chickens but I have to wait a couple of weeks for it to "mellow". I make manure tea with the chicken ... and pour it on the plants.

One part chicken... five parts water. My dad passed that down to me from his dad who got it from his dad.

When we were at George Washington's home, they have people that tend to a garden where he use to have that was his own private garden. I told the ladies there about it, and they said they were going to start doing it.

My father would be proud...

The idea for the water from my tank is good for house plants, but I have three rows of corn, row of cabbage, row of cantalope, row of carrots, row of brocolli and a row of bush beans and tomato's. It would drain my tank.

Nice pix Gary. Actually, the best method of taking flower pix is to use the Macro Focus which is usually denoted on the menu by a flower icon. What kind of camera did you get?

BTW, the only thing better then taking pix of flowers is taking pix of flowers with 2's. Meet my friend Susan (http://digitalcollege.org/video/susan.htm)
