Hello all, here I am again ;) back in the land of the (semi) living
it's warmer today and some sunshine which is a start!

Sue, when do you go on holiday ? looks a nice cottage! I go the 4th of June to cornwall :highfive:

Bob has learned to say Hello Basil though I don't think you'd catch Basil saying hello Bob!
he's such a funny little thing, says bybye when I put my coat on!

I wish I could take him to work with me ......

:wavey:Happy Wednesday morning.

Shirley, the flowers are beautiful,:Blueflowe you have a really lovely yard. Do you have fish in your pond?

Bill, I bet you're not sleeping well because of all the excitement. Try to get some rest so that you're fresh and alert for your defense.:)

Kristie, glad to hear that you're feeling a bit better. Nicer days help too, eh? That "bye bye" would just turn me to jello. I'd have to stay the rest of the day out of guilt for leaving. :agree:

I woke up with a monster cold sore, swollen glands and a stuffy nose. :foot-tap:
Bailey's been chewing on his perches. Chewed one completely through and is now working on the other.

uggg can barley see through these watery/itchy eyes.............hope this goes away soon.

Vicki, sounds like you're in for a ride too, w/this sickie stuff. Hope you have a short illness!!

What a wonderful start to the day to see such beauty, thanks Shirley!! I loooove your yard, how nice!!

Bill, I wouldn't count on much sleep until this is all over with, lol. Oh the excitement!! hehehe

Kristie, love it when they 'know' whats going on, I wish you can take her to work too, that's my only stipulation to going back to work again...........that I can bring one of my birds w/me, I can switch who can come, heheehe wouldn't that be wonderful?? Are you in a position to 'ask' if she can come, or is your work unsafe to bring her along??

To everyone and those who haven't checked in yet.....................

Hi All! I did my "mock" presentation in front of my bosses who were very helpful with their suggestions on how to improve the presentation. Now I have to update the presentation with their suggestions.

My aunt is not going to go...she just told me this morning by email, which I received prior to my presentation. Wish I had waited to pick up my email. UGH! I told her that I was sorry she would not get to revel in my accomplishment. But will not give her the power by knowing she will be missed as I believe that is what she is doing. Oh well! Life is too short to sweat the small things.

Thank you ALL for your continued support!

Thanks Jean! I actually added more information on the second go-around on my presentation. I am not going to take it personal that my aunt does not want to come. Oh well...there are far better things to use my energy on. HEHE!

Are you going boating while you are there?[/QUOTE] Hopefully yes Jean:agree: we could have hired a boat to stay on but they cost twice as much as the cottage and with all the bathroom expense we didn't want to spend too much on this holiday.:)

That is easily understandable. We had a 19ft Tahiti ski boat for years. They are not cheap to operate and maintain. I hope you can spend a little time boating. Most marinas here offer hourly or daily rates on boats or pontoons. :)

Bill, have you had time to take a dip the pool yet?

Bill
05-27-2005, 11:38 PM
Nope...I forgot my trunks! But that is okay as I am resting in the lap of luxury for much less than regular rack rate!!!

Jean

I am glad the subject came up before your trip was over. It is always nice to share anything to save traveling expenses. Luckily, I haven't had to pay a rack rate in many years unless I was caught traveling and did not get a room early enough to where most rooms were rented in a town and they could hold out for rack rate.
That was in Tucomcari New Mexico in 1999.
