I'm hear to post about a very young northern mockingbird, so I will be back to tell you about my senegal pair shortly. :)

I answered your post first as that was most important!
I hope you can post pics of the little guy in your post as that would be helpful.

Hi, Jeff! You "look" familiar...lol! Where to start...I began with parakeets. Got them from the store...trained them to be hand-tame...finally got one who was hand-fed...my Kitty.
Then I adopted a very sick lovebird from the local pet store. This store was the only one in town, so I used to go there often. This bird was sick for a couple weeks before they would let her go. I told them if they would give me the bird, I'd take it to the vet. Took the poor thing to the vet and she tested positive for PBFD. :( Got some meds to treat the secondary illnesses that were making her sick and she made a full recovery! She's lived with my Mom and Dad who have no other birds for 9 years and is still going strong. Of course, I ended up paying three-four times the cost of the bird in vetting, but she made it, which is what counts.
I've also had parrotlets (spectacled pair) and a blue-headed pionus who I lost last year. I used to help a friend hand-feed her 'tiels and conures.
A couple years ago I went to dinner with a friend and on the way out there were people staring at the sidewalk. We walked up and there was a bald (aside from a little down) baby bird just sitting there! I scooped him up and he was so cold. There was a dead baby right next to him. I wasn't even sure what kind of bird he was, but had a good idea he was a feral pigeon. There were some nearby. No signs of a nest, so we ran to the pet store, got some hand-feeding formula and took him home. He got used to eating that yucky stuff and got F-A-T! He grew up to be a beautiful pigeon. I never clipped his wings and he would fly up to me and land on my head. He now lives near me at a home with fancy pigeons in a huge outdoor aviary in a beautiful garden. He was lonely at my house and when I knew he'd be ok on his own, I began searching for a new home for him. We found the perfect place. :) I still check on him often and he's doing just fine. He even has a wife :D
And now I have a bonded pair of senegals. They were given to me by a long-time friend when I lost my pionus, Olive. Mango and Kiwi(senegals) are seven years old. Kiwi, the female, is still hand-tame, but Mango is now aggressive. I believe he is just not in "the mood" for being handled now that he's a big boy...
Somewhere in all the mix I've had several finches - very neat and fun to watch. They are so cute!
Anyway, there's my bird experience in a tiny nutshell. I love birds. I'm a bird-a-holic. Can somebody please help me? LOL
One day I hope to have an Indian Hill Mynah. I've always wanted one - they are so neat.
