Good morning Sue!

Oh yes, we've had the hanging baskets everywhere here for years!
Sue, your poppies are so beautiful!!

Yesterday our weather was gorgeous! Suppose to rain today; we'll see.
Jeff came down and we had a marvelous time all of us visiting together. Visit yesterday's "good morning" thread for some great pics and the "rest of the story"...
Jeff's visit to choose baby Bourke (http://www.thebirdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=574&page=1&pp=10)

The photo there of them together is PRECIOUS!

and here's what reefers do when they get together... they "trade frags"... trade pieces of corals so the ones in the sea are left alone... plus there are some corals that reproduce in the tank that we trade and give away and such... note the red cooler on the floor that Jeff brought his frags in (fragments of corals)

placement of course is highly discussed... will it sting this? Get stung by that? will it get too much light? not enough light? too much current? not enough current?

Skyler decided to give his input... :goodjob:

(Sue.. show Dave the antique potato-back mandolin on the shelf .. it was my mother's)

Mornin' All!:wavey:
Been up for a bit, made myself (and the birds LOL) some breakfast,Checked on the aquarium stuff i got from Shirley and Steve's yesterday, and popped in to say good morning to my newest feathered one, "Coral" the male Bourke i got from Shirley yesterday also,,he made a big fuss about being let out to sit on my hand and eat some seed and millet,,,WAT a cutie! The other birds got jealous from me going straight to Coral and giving attention, instead of the normal first off attention i give to Sinbad, my "Too. they all benefitted from the new guy in the bird room, cuz they all got extra goodies this morning,,,as i was walking out of the bird room,Coral scurried over to the closest side of the cage(cage is near the door) and gave me that "play with me some more daddy" look,,,of course i did,,;) Will try to take some pics later and post, will have to stow the doxies away outa the living room tho,,,and too early to trust Coral to be loose in the bird room,w/the big parrots around,,,
Well, gotta get moving, and try to unloosen this ol back, Feelin a lil better than the last few days, hoping this is the end of this stretch of "tweeked back"

Hope everyone has a great day, me, i'm gonna be playing with my new birdie! :woot:
Thanks again to Shirley and Steve ,for a great visit yesterday,,:thanx:

Jeff... the table? What table? (hmmm... )

Do you play guitar or something?

The mandolin is REALLY old and unfortunately the neck came loose from the body such that it can't be repaired yet again... so it can't be played. I used to play it as a kid though... and so did my sister, dad, and mom.

Hello
I'm afraid I'm not all at well :( I was ok yesterday, but today I don't just feel the usual sicky stomach, I feel really light-headed and spaced out and weak - almost like that fluey feeling with out the cold symptoms. I am really hungry but ate a biscuit earlier and it made me feel horrid. Anyway, not sure if I will be a work tomorrow, so might not see me for a few days :(
I do wish I had private healthcare insurance or enough money to pay for it!!!!!
I'm currnently doing my dad's CV cos I promised him I'd do it! so thought I should pop in and say HI.
it's been quite nice out today, but we went to TESCO and did the shopping and they had 20% of all clothes and it's nice stuff. WEll I got a bikini and a top but I felt so sick and horrid I didn't try anything on, bugger! there was a nice skirt there too, but knowing my luck if i'd bought it it would ve been to big or small. my head hurts and I need to lay down..bye bye..

When i started taking pics of Coral, and the flash went off a few times, he perked right up even more, prob thought he was back at Shirley's house LOL.
(inside joke is, all of Shirley's animals have permanent lil white spots in their eyes,,,from all the pics)

Good Morning ! :wavey:

It is supposed to reach 66 here today. I will keep my fingers crossed. A long time friend I grew up with called me and said it is supposed to reach 105 today. She and her hubby will be spending a good portion of their day in their pool keeping cool. That is to hot for me.

Shirley, the mandolin is beautiful with quite a valued history. I am glad you have it. I have enjoyed all the pics. It looks like you have a nice fish tank too.

Kristi, I'm sorry you are having another bad day. I hope you feel better when you get up.:tighthug:

Sue, Your poppy is beautiful. Thanks, for sharing it with us. Yes, we do have hanging baskets here in the west coast too. LOL

Jeff, Coral looks beautiful, what did your wife think of your new little doll?

Bill, What a thrill, to know today you can finish up your presentation. I'm sure, you will feel great about that. "Enjoy" your game of scrabble tonight.

Wishing everyone a lovely Sunday. :)

Back from Scrabble...had lots of fun! Played three games and won all but one. My Scrabble partner gave me a card with money for my graduation!!! I nearly cried when I read the card and saw the money as I did not expect her to give me anything! What a nice ending for the day!

Glad you had a great night Bill!
You, like a lot of us, need one , once inna while,,,:agree: :highfive:

I took my "Too" Sinbad out in the living room, after i had Coral out today to "bond".Sinbad was noticably worked up over me spending extra time with a bird other than him,,,I took him out, and sat in my fav chair, he was having a ball,be-bopping around, like most cockatoos do.If no one has never seen a bird snuggle , you should have see us today! He was on my chest, and crouched low to my body, with his neck under mine,,,just picking and twisting his neck , having a good ol time getting scratched and all this attention. He later moved up to my shoulder, while i was fully reclined in the chair,, layed low,and tucked his head behind my neck, and went to sleep. Wish i had someone home to take a pic,it had to look pretty comical, seeing this big ol white bird ,napping on my shoulder ,with head head tucked behind my neck,,,he/we had a great time,,,,
Will try to have Blyth take a pic or two , when she comes home tomorrow from her seminar, and surprise her with mine/our/her new bird ,Coral.
Hope everyone had a great day, and super evening,,,
Hug your birds tomorrow, and always, you both will like it,,,

Thanks Jeff! How is your back? Hope you are feeling better! Did you put the spider on Shirley? She would have probably stuffed you in a tank! LOL!

Bill, dunno why, but at this writing, my back is feeling the best it's been in prob a week,,the sharp pain i was getting from getting out of a chair , or just moving the wrong way has lessened ,so at least i can kinda get up ,and move a lot more pain free, hope the pulled muscle ,or whatever it was , has worked its way free,,was getting frustrated not being able to move and do things around here, 'specially since i'm still on vacation,,(til Weds day shift,),i was to work midnites for only one day this last saturday, going into Sunday,,the way my schedule works out, the other 4 prev shifts were on my vaction week, so when a new week started, i had the one shift left to work,,,I ,ummmm,,,,felt to sick to work just that one midnite shift:idea: :agree: ,,,giving me three more days of un-interupted vacation added to my time away from work.
Did i put the spider on Shirley?  Heck i just my hearing back in the ear that was close to Shirley , when her son came into the bedroom-aviary w/ the spider:eek: ,without warning,,(she did say something to him about showing me his Tarantula),don't think she meant soon, and in the room , un-announced! LOL, I'm may be dumb, but i'm not stupid! :agree: I shutter to think what would happen if i teased her with the spider,,,not that i would anyway,,,;)

Bill
05-22-2005, 11:45 PM
I can imagine what her scream was like! I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. But of course I would likely be a screamer too! I doubt you would have teased her with the spider...you want to be able to live longer! Sorry Shirley! HEHE! But Jeff's recollection of the details caused me to laugh (a lot)!!!

Bill
