Hi, I'm new here, and still learning my way around. I hope I've posted this in the right place. I've been fostering a 6 week old baby cockatiel and have received lots of love, support and advice.
I hand-raised Coco from four weeks (3 feedings), and now she is 11. I wanted to get her pic out and introduce her! (I also am owned by a 26 year old cockatiel, Sammy, and hope to post pictures of him soon.
Coco is feisty and has a great vocab of words/whistles. Her favorite thing is Harrison's Power treats for which she will do a trick - a full turn on perch, a wave, shake hands, lift wings, etc. She's a real show-off girl!!!

Coco is absolutely beautiful. I know a 20+ year old yellow naped amazon named Coco who is the nicest bird I have ever met. And before I met her I did NOT like amazons, but I have to say that she proved to me that they can be great birds.
Coco is just darling. I can't wait to see pics of your cockatiel!

Coco is Gorgeous!!
Thank you for her pic and story!
Coco is gorgeous!!!  :thanx: for sharing his pic.
Isn't it fun to raise them from a baby? Eleven years, that is great! We adopted Elvie 14 years ago as a baby.
Have you had your tiel 26 years or did he come to you as an adult?
I love to read more about Coco and him. Can't wait to see pics.

Yep, littl' Sammy has been with me 26 years! For a cockatiel he's not only old, but he is big - a whopping 130 grams (littl' fattie!:drool2: ) When I got him, I was told he was 6 months old, but since I can't be completely positive (he did have adult feathering tho), I only count the 26 years that he and I have actually been together:wavey: Each day we are together I realize that I am fortunate to have had him this long. Sammy has seen many a bird come and go through the years, and loves them all! He's very social. :D I hope to upload a pic of him soon - I'm having some trouble - getting a message that my picture is too 'big.'

We'd LOVE to see his photo! Are you trying to upload it directly to the forum? There's a limit on filesize if you are. If you open a free account with some place such as photobucket, then that will work. OR... send it to me and I'll resize it and send it back to you, and then you can upload it directly to BoF.
