Wow, they sure do grow fast. Seeing how much that one baby filled the nest, how do they ever get two of them in there to full grown?

thats cool I enjoyed that...yeah not uncommon in some species of birds the oldest and the strongest is the survivor..there is another bird that lays it's egg in another birds nest and once it hatches it will roll the other birds eggs right out of the nest I want to say the cuckoo but don't think thats it.

Thank you SO much for documenting and sharing these with us. I had the good fortune to see with my own eyes this sequence right out the bedroom window of my travel trailer when I lived in California but didn't have the camera to take the pics. Every morning and again when I got home at night I would see the progress they had made.. I was sad when they flew.. but a couple weeks later the manager of the park cut down the branch they had been nesting on without realizing they were ever there.
