Its not very nice out there :( you'd think it were January not May!!! I hope it's better than this when I go on holiday in 2 weeks time!!!!

yesterday I finally got that dodgy light above my desk fixed, as it's one of those horrid old flou tubes (not the cat II with reflectors) the light is so horrid, that I'd rather be in the dark!!! no really...

I bought some echincaea and raspberry tea this morning, see if that's any better than tea. well not in taste of course, i likes me proper tea:agree:

Anyone know, does Coeliac mean wheat allergy? cos I bought some rice cake things and it says suitable for coeliacs, and I'm trying the wheat free diet at the mo. I think it does doesnt it. only when I bought some last week, it said on the pack 'contains gluten' see... But it was a different brand.

Good morning Kristie!

http://www.medinfo.co.uk/conditions/coeliac.html

perhaps that will help...
And I sure do hope you get to feeling better!

Well, I haven't been to bed yet! Still working! On a roll...

Going to call it quits VERY soon... and go to bed! Steve's alarm goes off in 2-1/2 hrs! :help:

Well, today is Ginny's birthday, and even though she's not on the board, I'll wish her a Happy Birthday, and "all 'o' y'all" who know her, I'll copy / paste your birthday wishes over to her via email! She doesn't have big glorious plans... kinda like me, they come and go and you sorta don't see them pass by anymore.

Her son Steve and my son Troy made lots of plans today on the phone (well, yesterday)... actually, her son made all the plans... while we're down there in June. Steve and Troy will be doing some diving, camping and diving, and then more diving with the manatees. Danielle, mutual friend of Jeff's (Junkzoo) and frat sister of Troy's, will be joining them for much of it.

DiveQuest at Epcot 1 day, spend the night w/Danielle and Andy

2 days Tent Camping/Scuba Diving at Ginnie Springs near Gainesville

Get up at 3:30 a.m. drive to the coast Dive with the Manatees in Crystal River at 7:00 a.m.

Then drive back to Seminole to Ginny's house.

They'll have a blast. I think Danielle is planning to do most of this, 'cept she'll drive home to sleep since she lives so close to Gainesville rather than tent camp, and she has her 3 dogs/2 cats to take care of. They've got about 6 joining them for the camping -- various other EMTs and other medical/ambulance people. So... with the ER doc, the organic chemist, the EMTs, the Ambulance drivers, a physical therapist, etc ... they shouldn't get into TOO much trouble, right??? :foot-tap:  :D :roflmao2:

Good Morning ! I tried to go to bed about an hour and a half ago and both feet kept trying to cramp. After the 4th attempt of going to bed getting up and walking out foot cramps I said "shucks"and here I am.

Kristi, I see Shirley found a good link for you. Here is a link to some food in the US that has snacks made specific for Coleliac Disease patients. This should give you an idea. I'm sure there must be some in the UK.

I wonder if there is a safe non dairy creamer to use in your tea? if not, it looks like you will be having tea the American way. LOL

Here is a very good diet information for Coleliac disease.

Some good information on several pages of this site.

Bill, I am glad you enjoyed the movie. It is nice when you go to see one and it's everything and more then expected. I have read good reviews about it.

Shirley, you were up late too. I believe we are somewhat of a bunch of night owl's :scratchch wonder if the feathers are rubbing off. :rotflmao: My goodness, this FL trip is sounding like fun. Doe's Steve like to camp out or is he like Al, rather have a good bed in a comfy RV or a motel?
Shirley, I just took a look at the links you provided. It looks like a lot of fun. :emot-danc The Disney underwater shots are beautiful. Thanks, for sharing them.

Sue, you are later then usual. Hope all is going well this morning. :)

Wishing everyone a nice Thursday.:)

Hi Everyone, I'm really late today it's nearly 2pm here.

Kristie..... sorry about the weather it's beautiful up here:sunshines

Shirley..... sounds like you have a good break lined up!
I'm still looking for something for week after next.
It looks like a few of us will be away at the same time. I really enjoyed our chat last night, did you realise we were talking for over an hour:eek: Sorry you were late for the appointment.:foot-tap:
Barb...... to answer your question from yesterday, no the bathroom men haven't been her for 2 days:( He's promised to be finished tomorrow but I don't believe a word he says now. I really need to have a mass clean up this weekend, especially if we get a holiday the week after!

Thunder and Lightnening rocked the house or I'd still be asleep!!

Well... MY Steve and I are not camping...

Ginny's SON Steve and Troy are camping... ages 22 and 23...

All us "old folks" will be sitting around playing with birds and such while the "kids" are off having a ball in the water, down deep looking at the fishies and corals, sleeping in the hot humid heat, getting up at ungodly hrs to go on to the next adventure...

Danielle graduates from Med School this Saturday in Kansas City and her residency is in Orlando. She lived with us for a month in August and spent some time with Troy as they are close in aga, frat brothers, both in the sciences... She and her husband Andy and their various pets from lizards to reef to cats and dogs are moving to Orlando the same week we got down there... their new home closes that week and is waiting for them. She and Steve, Ginny's son, have been in touch regarding the dive plans. Andy will probably go, too. (confused yet?) :funny:

I'm sure Ginny, Mark, Steve, and I will find something wild and crazy to do while the kids are gone... (we're taking 4 parrots down with us... minimum...) Troy will be there with us, as will her sons Steve and Mike, so we'll all be there the first few days... and Troy loves to cook and is really good with the ethnic and weird stuff... so he's offered to give me and Ginny a kitched break... He'll probably do something like shishkabobs on the grill once, and something on the stove a couple few times... Yesterday noon he made some Asian thing I can't pronounce that was really yummy.

Jeff... you know we don't need notice... just call and come down. EXCEPT the 4th I film a wedding. We leave the wee hrs of the 6th. Unless we get really crazy and leave on the 5th. So come before the 4th.

Thunder stopped... going back to sleep... :p

Thanks for the links,
I don't think I'm Coeliac anyway. I feel so rough today. I've kept off of Gluten for 4 days now and feel worse if anything.
sorry to hear of your bathroom troubles sue!
Hope your all having a better day than me..

Happy Thursday to one and all.:wavey: I had another early day today, (yesterday I was up early for an early Dr appt) today I had to have a Bone Density Scan. Totally painless.

Sue, I feel your pain re: your remodeling and the workers not showing up. Sigh. I've been there. :( Didn't appreciate their ho-hum attitude. Am glad it's over with.

Kristie, I'm sorry you're not feeling well.:( You might want to consider letting a doctor run a few tests rather than you trying to figure it out by process of elimination. You could be at it for a long time and still not be any closer to a solution. I don't want you suffering for so long. :tighthug:

Shirley, you've been keeping some late hours, I hope that you plan on using your trip to get well rested. The kids have so many plans in place, when are they going to get any rest? They'll need to have another vacation after this one to relax. Happy Birthday to Ginnie.

Jeff, hope the recall work on your truck goes well. I'll send you some of our good ol' Florida Sunshine. I bet you forgot to take some with you when you left, right?:sunshines

Jean, so sorry about the foot cramps. They're the darndest, aren't they?

You saw Star Wars last night, Bill? How was it? Did anyone at the theater dress up?

:grouphug: Hugs to all.

LOL Vicki,,,,I think i banked all my nice weather days for when i was down there, wished i worked on my "no wind" dance, instead of the "no rain" dance i did ,,,LOL(at least it did not rain while i was there,,,)
You can tell Greg my Queen Angel is eating now, good sign to see happen, specially so soon for a wild caught fish.:emot-danc :emot-danc :emot-danc

Just got back from the Chevy dealership(used to work there after high school , many moons ago) Had a ol friend work on my truck, other than the recall work on it, the truck's computer stored a fault code in it's memory,a mass air sensor(kinda tells the computer the volume of air going thru to the injectors)went ahead and he him replace it, truck runs a lot better now, it ought to , i went in thinking it would be no cost for the other work, (it was), but the sensor replacement came to a total of $320,,, oh well, piece of mind with all the driving i do, 115 miles round-trip daily to work, its worth $$spent i quess,,I long for the ol days, we i could work on cars/trucks. now you need to be a trained pro w/a zillion $$$ of equipment to diagnose things.
Still lousy ,rainy day here , enjoying the inside of the house today, too wet for outside work,,
Taking my wife out on a "date" tonite, since today is a rare off day for the both of us, not sure what's in the works, prob a movie and/or dinner. We'll see after she gets some sleep after working last nite in the ER,,,
