Well, Turk will now go up and 'shake' your finger as to say hello. I've tried to get him to 'wave' but he likes this better. Also I taught him to wave "hello" w/his crest and flap his wings to wave along w/that. He now joyfully shows his new trick off  saying "hello" while doing this, hehehe
He was soo darned cute last night, kept saying it over and over again, and I kept praising him............what a ham :p
This will be perfect, when I do our bird ed classes for the schools/churches. The kids will get a kick out of that :wavey:

not to mention it is helping him exersize his wings. I've tired to get him to wing flap as a way to release some of that energy. This is definately helping w/that!!
Also, he loves to run on the bed and play. It's the cutest thing to watch, he runs and romps on the bed, at times he looks like he's skipping along, hehehe. He loves to play w/his ball too, pushing it around, then finially off the bed for mom to pick up and do again.
He also gets spunky like he's showing off his male qualities and almost sits up on his tail or almost rolling over, lol, it's the funniest thing to see.
The only problem w/him on my bed now is he likes to chew my sheets or comforter if given a chance  I give him plenty to chew, but seems to like eating my bed, lol. I have to take the pillows off now, he started on them too  Oh well, guess I'll save this comforter after I get a new one someday for him to demolish.
Barb, I now the joy you and Turk are sharing. That is how Elvie shakes your hand with his hand he says "hello" as he "waves his umbrella" "up and down" "and takes his bow" when he meets and greets or says By By to someone. He does not care to wave with his claw either, They are extremely "polite with such beautiful showmanship". It tends to come natural for them to flare their crest as the male 2's they seem to know they are king of the throne and feel like, let me show you how I can "strut my beauty" and be the center of attention. After all, that must be why God gave cockatoo's such beautiful crest
I'd love to see them together, they sound like twins!
When I read about him playing on the bed it sounds so familiar too. Does he also get so excited he bounces up and down and take a bow?
Oh Barb, about the sheets. If you do not have any old ones go to a yard sale or thrift store and pick up some old flat sheets to use over your bedspread and he will not ruin your good linnens. I learned that one long ago.

Yeah Turk is a character, and knows how to make me laugh and smile
He does also like jump or pouncing when he gets excited, it's the cutest thing to watch. I swear he almost did a somersault one time :roflmao2:
But the funniest part was seeing him sitting up on his tail.....strange, yet facinating :p
Thanks for the tip on sheets, although I need those extra deep ones since we have a pillow top, but can figure somehting out ;)
I did get some video of him playing on the bed, but it was very difficult to do so because he kept trying to see what I had, silly bird :funny: I really need to get a tripod, that would help, lol. Need to edit sometime soon and see what I can pull out of it, either that or be more sneaky in my approach
Now, his sitting on his tail has to be the cutest. :rotflmao: Maybe, he thinks that is his feathered friend. :emot-danc I'd love to see a pic of that one. It would be priceless! Elvie has never done that.
Ahh Barb, he sounds adorable and I bet the kids will love his antics:emot-danc
