hi,
first make sure he is healthy, a quick vet check may be in order. if he is healthy just keep trying a rotation of different foods. you said he liked sweet potatoes and after a week or two he may like them again. my black capped conure goes through stages of wants and therefore i have gone to a rotation system. i never feed the same food more than two or three days in a row. the variety seems to peak the interest of my flock. and when i get back to the food they really like they are even more enthusiastic about it. i also make sure that i don't over fill the food bowl, and my birds seem to eat more of what is there. good luck and i'm sure others will have better ideas.
Good advice from Jim.
Have you tried noodles? Toto (M2) goes mad for them. In my experience they do sometimes go off certain things for a while, persevere, if he won't take a food don't give up, it took me ages to get Toto to eat broccoli.
He also loves porridge (oatmeal).
I supose it's a bit like us we fancy certain foods at certain times. Good luck!
Great advice Jim L. My two boys, for the most part, are pretty consistent with the amount of healthy food they eat, *now*. It wasn't always like that. They had their days they didn't eat as much or were picky. I'm a firm believer in eating habits, it has worked pretty good here. I don't 'over' fill their bowls (as Jim said) and try, in as natural way as possible, let them learn that food isn't one step away in the bottomless bowl when they feel like eating. They didn't evolve to eat like that. In my mind, it's better for them and they eat what "we" know is good for them when the food has more *value*. I wouldn't think a bottomless bowl or all their favorite stuff appearing, if they hold out, gives the food much value.
First thing, I saved this for last.:) As Jim L suggested, a vet check may be be in order. At least, if you have a scale, weigh Luke every morning (before feeding and after poop) and if he looses more than 5-10% of his weight see the vet ASAP.

You've already rec'd excellent advice. I'll add this... if we eat it, they want it! So... we feed them when we sit down to eat, and they try pretty much everything.
Favorites included baked sweet potato
peas, string beans, corn
cooked steak or chicken (but nothing high in cholesterol for your grey)
pizza crust
