I'm handfeeding a rosy bourke baby for one of my breeder friends. She is a well-known breeder in Texas and she sells primarily breeder birds, so she does not hand raise her babies unless there's an emergency. She called me Monday morning to ask me if I'd pick up a chick whose parents had begun to pluck it and weren't feeding it well. I just had to post some photos. Doesn't it look like a little buzzard? :rotflmao: This one is extremely tiny but very precocious. It can't be more than 3 weeks old and it's feisty! It is even already perching and trying to fly! Such a cutie. Or at least it will be when its feathers start growing back. :roflmao2:
